Interesting so with particles you can have collisions yea? I noticed with the cloner tool I can't get collisions to work at all.

Yep. Motion Design tools don't have collisions, standard Niagara does.

Meshed with spheres.. you mean particles displayed as spheres - all uniform with speed to color - it’s cool but so many sims look nice as spheres meshing to a unified mesh is where things get tricky and start to look to thin or blobby or low res imo
