📹 Cellbit posted an Instagram Reels! #CELLBIT: I was chosen to represent Brazil in an international sports event! And I never thought I would say something like that in my life. I’m talking about the Streamer Games, held by Ludwig, one of the biggest streamers in the world. It’s a competition that happens every year where streamers from around the globe meet in the United States to compete in teams, and Ludwig decided to invite me this year to represent Brazil on the Worldwide team. Although I was not the first, nor the second, not even the third pick for the football team back in 6th grade when it was time to pick who was going to be on each team... I was actually the second to last, but that doesn’t mean I’ll do poorly! The tournament also includes mental strategy games, not only sports. There are 8 different teams from distinct countries and categories that will be competing at the same place. And of course, the main purpose besides trying to win is bringing this content live in Portuguese, so we’ll be the official Portuguese broadcast, me and Felps, who will tag along to be the official narrator. The event will happen on the first and second of August, Saturday and Sunday, at 5PM BRT, and will be streamed both on my YouTube and Twitch channels and Felps' channel, where he’ll be narrating and commentating alongside me. I’m really hyped. It’s always great to be invited to international events like this and broadcasting them in Portuguese with the chat will be even better. I’ll see you there!

SOME TAKEAWAYS FROM SEUNGMIN'S VOICE LIVE: 1) He was cute. The bgm was cute. The yawning was cute. The English was the cutest. 2) He went to the concert of Kenshi Yonezu (Seungmin covered his song Lemon on the Maniac tour) and mentioned how tall he was. I looked it up. The man is apparently 1.88m. The fact that Seungmin pointed it out made me giggle. 3) He refused to talk about the new baseball season. You know what that means. Giants, when will you stop breaking my boy's heart? 4) He mentioned how Cinema was always made with Lee Know in mind and the image of them singing it at a big stadium with Stay. He praised his efforts in singing and pronunciation of English which I also noticed and am glad he brought up. 5) He said all intruments in Cinema were recorded live which is amazing. It's gonna be epic on tour. 6) Oh, yeah he just casually confirmed that they will be performing the unit songs on tour. Because of course he did. Never change Seungmin. 7) He isn't playing around with the fan featuring this time. He gave enough advance notice and directions down to which second of the song the fan featuring starts. Him saying "Got it?" made me laugh more than it should have. 8) He mentioned that the new Song by episode will be unusual and that we can look forward to it. As if I needed the push to look forward to him singing. He was clearly tired but he sounded content. He mentioned his life these days is filled with music and that it will all reach us soon enough. Happy Seungmin with a mic in his hand is enough to put a smile on my face. So glad he came on tonight.

For generative AI to become an interesting art tool, we need much more control over the output. The slot-machine-like nature of pure text-to-image leaves too much to chance. Using the "Real-time Latent Consistency Model" that I'm using in the example here, is the first time I truly got a glimpse of a future where we'll be able to use our artistic skills and sensibility, to get control over AI image gen. Systems like these will never be able to match the quality or originality of a skilled artist, it won't surprise us in the same way an artist can. Things are a mess in terms of the training data these models are based on, and the questions about copyright concerns and about a time when everything will look the same are very valid. At some point capabilities like these will be embedded in photoshop, and anyone will be able to generate a pretty picture. But to create interesting designs, to tell original stories and to surprise us, we need creatives and artists with something on their mind. We'll be able to create immersive worlds, by making brush-strokes and sculpt marks, without needing to worry about all the dials, plugins, wires of our 3d and 2d tools today. I love to sculpt, I love to draw, and I love to explore new mediums and new ways to create. The Gen AI tools we have today are far from perfect, and things need to be steered in a better direction. For that we need artists to help point the way. Gen AI isn't going away.. it's too powerful and has the potential to allow us to tell stories like never before. Like all other big technological shifts, tech like this will come at a cost, but it will also open up new opportunities and empower a new generation of storytellers. I might be naive, but I believe that human ingenuity and creativity will persevere in this new world ♥️ #art #ai

🚨 HUGE & HISTORIC: President Trump announces complete disarmament of Hamas and all armed groups in Gaza. A major breakthrough for lasting peace and security! Something many said could never be achieved! "Today, the Board of Peace reached a HISTORIC agreement for the COMPLETE DISARMAMENT of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. This is a monumental step toward lasting PEACE and SECURITY. This agreement is a critical step towards Gaza finally being governed by a new Palestinian government that will work closely with the Board of Peace to help the Palestinian people. At the same time, Israel will have the security it deserves, with Gaza no longer used as a base for terror attacks. This is a major milestone in the implementation of the Trump 20-Point Plan. The agreement will be carried out in carefully structured phases. As disarmament is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw, and the International Stabilization Force will work with a new Palestinian police force to take responsibility for Gaza being safe for its residents and its neighbors. One year ago there was a violent raging war, humanitarian crisis and hostages kept in brutal captivity. We have made historic progress and there is still much work to do. I want to thank the mediators—Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye—for their important efforts, and especially my outstanding team, whose tireless work made this historic breakthrough possible. The threat that emerged from Gaza on October 7 will NOT be allowed to rebuild! Under this agreement, Gaza will finally be in the hands of a new Palestinian government that serves its PEOPLE. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL ON THIS AMAZING DEVELOPMENT, THAT EVERYBODY SAID COULD NEVER BE ACHIEVED! DONALD J. TRUMP President of the United States of America"

Billy Wilder explains how the commercial failure of "Ace in the Hole" (1951) changed his view about the audience: "Wilder: 'Ace in the Hole' (1951) was a very peculiar thing. I was very fond of the picture—I got wonderful, wonderful reactions to it from more serious people. But for some reason or other, people did not want to see that grim a picture, that boasted the guy in the hole there, and the reporter, Mr. Kirk Douglas. It was very somber. It was one of my most somber pictures. And they did not believe me that when somebody’s a newspaperman, they are capable of that behavior. Interviewer: Very much ahead of its time. Wilder: [Shrugs.] Yeah. Interviewer: In this current age of tabloid culture, 'Ace in the Hole' has never felt more up-to-the-minute. Is it amusing to you, how this film has held up? Wilder: Yeah, that’s very funny, I must say. It was a complete failure. It was just... I don’t know. I just changed my mind about the audience. I just think that if you do something very fine, that they will get to the core of the thing, what it’s about, what it’s really about. But they never, at the time, they never gave it a chance. Somebody in an editorial, I think, in Life magazine said that “Mr. Wilder should be deported.” I felt that I was not with it anymore. That I wrote against the audience, the people who paid, in those days, a dollar fifty, two dollars. They felt robbed. They wanted to be entertained, entertained in a serious way, but not too serious a way. I don’t know. Then again, they did go for 'Double Indemnity' (1944). You can never, never, never predict an audience’s reaction. You never know how it’s going to affect them. But I hear about 'Ace in the Hole' quite a bit these days." ("Conversations with Wilder", Cameron Crowe, 1999) P.S: On this day, 75 years ago, "Ace in the Hole" (1951) premiered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.

🐤: What I think about the most these days is that I started my career in my early twenties, and before I even realized it, I had reached my 22nd or 21st year in the industry, and I had entered my forties. My teeth and eyesight are still healthy, and I think the fact that I do not drink alcohol probably has something to do with that too. When I see articles about people I used to watch when I was young who have passed away, I think, “When I was young, I loved them and watched them on TV all the time. As I grew older, they grew older too.” Seeing that makes me think a lot about, “What will I be like when I reach that age?” In reality, when a person is born, they are moving toward a new life, but at the same time, they are also moving toward death. That is an unavoidable fate for every human being. But during the time we have here, living happily and passionately is a responsibility each of us has. I also try to live every day diligently and happily. On the other hand, when I was in my twenties, I thought that once I reached my thirties and forties, I would be very old, that I would become weaker and lose my strength. But now that I have actually reached this age, I feel healthier than I did back then. Is that just psychological? I do not know. What will my life be like when I reach my fifties, sixties, and seventies? I think about these things a lot these days. Sometimes I feel sad or frustrated, and I have so many thoughts about how I should live my future. What concerns me most is not simply thinking about specific things like, “What house will I live in?” “What car will I drive?” or “Will I continue working?” What matters more to me is, when I get older, will I still be healthy? Will I still look attractive? How will people see me? And when I look at myself in the mirror, will I be satisfied with myself and think, “This is good enough”? These are the worries, anxieties, and thoughts that occupy my mind a lot these days. So I think about these things. Kkongi has already turned nine before I even realized it. Everyone has the same kinds of worries, but for me in particular, my family consists only of my mother and my sister, and there is also Kkongi. As time passes, I find myself wondering what I will be like and how I will continue living my life on my own. Will I become a burden to someone? Or will I become very lonely? I am not young anymore, am I? Even if I got married before I turned fifty and had children, it feels very late now. Think about it, everyone. If I got married at fifty and had a child, when that child turned twenty, I would be seventy. When they turned thirty, I would be eighty. Just thinking about that makes me feel like my life is already so far behind. Do you ever feel that way too? I do not want you to just say, “Oh, it is okay, you look like you are in your twenties or thirties.” Instead, let us look at my real biological age, not as a celebrity, but as an ordinary person named Park Jung Soo. My Korean age is 44. In ten years, I will be in my fifties. Kkongi will be nineteen, and my mother will be over eighty. In a life like that, I wonder how I will be able to endure it and adapt. I really do have a lot of these worries. I am not saying things like, “Idols should not get married,” or “Oppa, do not get married.” I just want us to think about these things together, as one human being to another, as one person to another. Just as I worry and think about these things, is it not natural for you to have the same worries as you get older? These worries overwhelm me too because I always say that my real family is just my mother and my sister. The members are like family to me, close friends, and younger brothers, but in terms of blood relations, my mother and my sister are all I have. And Kkongi, whom I love more than anything in the world and who is like a daughter to me, even though she is a dog, means everything to me simply by being by my side. These relationships cannot last forever.
