Yes and No No, because this is not the way, 1) you don’t throw the idol, you immerse (visarjan is immersion) it with proper pooja, using a lowering deck or cranes. 2) This could have damaged public property 3) This could bave harmed someone who is in the river Yes, if the question is about if immersion in river should be allowed, yes it should be. All human activity causes pollution, and so does this, I am amazed at people who talk of pollution when 1) writing responses with plastic screen guards, 2) driving a petrol/diesel car, 3) using internet 24x7 (there is a carbon cost to saving data), 4) Using plastic bags. 5) Ordering home deliveries of tiniest things 6) Use soap The list can be never ending Next time you want to talk pollution, stop driving, bathing, using plastic, then we can talk of pollution which is a topic that comes up (not) surprisingly around festivals.

Absolutely not. Cranes or boats with lowering decks could be used in cases of Big idols.

A simple question: "Is Bappa's murti size directly proportional to His blessings?" I am asking because, as far as I know, Bappa blesses all his devotees equally. And here's a question to all those who are okay with Bappa's idols being pushed off a bridge in this manner, and not the ideal way it should be done, "Why do we immerse Bappa's murti on the 10th day?" How many of you know the reason, the story behind it?

श्रीगणेश जी की मूर्ति है और मिट्टी की बनी है! विसर्जन की जगह वही है.
