Fructose metabolism increases uric acid generation in the liver. Removing fructose from the diet may be one of the most effective ways to reduce gout risk.

Went on carnivore and haven’t had gout since! I say yes you should.

Gout is the main reason I went Carnivore. My exp has been that sugars are more of a trigger for me. Alcohol especially, so I don't drink anymore either. But stopping the drink alone didn't stop the outbreaks. Losing 40 lbs, lifting, and switching to Carnivore DID work. For me.

💯💯💯

Yes. Historically called “the disease of kings”, modern metabolic research suggests gout might really be a disease of fructose metabolism, insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome 😊

I am day 8 on carnivore. I feel like shit and am currently pissing out my ass. When does this stop? I am about to give up

What’s all of this I’m reading about fiber and lower colon cancer risk ?

Yeah that's the theory. But I can't believe I'm not metabolically in better shape than ever before, my adipose fat gone, my weight down to 69kg (lowest I've ever been as an adult is 67kg) and I'm well and truly fat adapted. And I've never had gout in my life.

Gout? Age old remedy: Stay away from port. Tequila = better for you.

Mine sadly didn’t go away.
