Grok 4.5 is out!!! here is what you need to know : On cursor bench it matched fable 5 high at 83% cheaper, although the ui generation feels similar to gpt 5.5 in a bad way. Important to note, cursor bench was LEAKED to grok 4.5 and may have skewed the results! My initial thoughts are this could be a insanely cheap opus 4.8 level model that runs insanely fast. Will you be using grok build?

Vibe coded a fun little "Breakout-inspired" game where you control a gnome with a cannon trying to defend its garden against an onslaught of insects. Cursor was used to make this game, I mainly alternated between Grok Code Fast, GPT 5 and Sonnet 4.5 models. I used LOVE2D game framework/engine, it's really growing on me. The art for this game are hand drawn by me. Music and sound effects from itch.

It cost me $8 for 4 prompts with GPT 4.5 Preview in Cursor. Is it better than Claude 3.7 for coding? No. I've been casually building really complex features like multi-edit and AI video editing with chat. It's amazing that Claude is still the same price as 3.5 and is included in Cursor pricing.

I vibe coded a game called Aether Breach for my son today. Built the whole thing in about 2 hours using Cursor, Grok 4.5, and GPT Image 2.0. He gave it a try and really liked it. I just need to make Easy mode a bit more relaxed so he can make it to the later stages. The full game has DualSense support too. I published my WebHID DualSense npm package a few days ago, so adding controller support to new games is pretty straightforward now. Really happy with how it turned out.

We gave 4 models the same prompt: build three self-contained HTML5 canvas scenes with real physics demos Prompts: - A monster truck backflipping onto a parked car - A stunt car jumping six buses into a brick wall - A train derailing off a broken bridge into the water Outputs: GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra: 32.9K tokens, $0.33 Opus 4.8: 9.2K tokens, $0.24 GPT-5.5: 12.4K tokens, $0.11 Grok 4.5: 7.0K tokens, $0.08 Sol Ultra draws just like GPT-5.5, only with more detail and it shows clearest on the bus jump where the two look almost identical. In the other tests Sol Ultra came out worse than its predecessor and the physics really got weaker. We think GPT-5.5 took the truck flip and the train outright. Unity 6 + Opus 4.8 built a Minecraft-style game with just 2 prompts 😱 The first prompt took around 15 minutes. The second prompt took around 40 minutes. I wrote down everything I wanted for the first version, GPT expanded it with more details, and I sent it to Opus. Less than an hour later, I had a playable game. I actually spent more time setting up Unity 6 than building the game itself. It's wild to think about where this is heading. If 2 prompts can do this, imagine what an entire project looks like when every feature is built this way. Congrats to Anthropic. What they're building is incredible.

Just built this space battle game with Grok 4.5 in Grok Build, and it absolutely nailed it I literally gave it a simple two-line prompt, asked it to research the idea and build the game, and it did the rest A few back-and-forth tweaks, and took a free low-poly spaceship model, and Grok handled the integration surprisingly well....even the sound effects Now I can’t stop playing it. It’s actually super fun. Grok just got even more addictive…
