Sony originally planned to make a CD-ROM add-on for Nintendo's Super Famicom. After Nintendo cancelled the partnership, Sony used this experience to create PlayStation. I've designed a concept showing how their collaboration might have looked, with a switch to toggle SNES/PS.

Nintendo backstabbing Sony was the best thing that ever could've happened for gamers.

I always said that if this project had been carried out, it would've been the best console of all time. Just imagine: the whole catalog of games that came out for PS1 would've been released for this console instead, plus the SNES catalog, plus part of the N64 games.

The SuperCD was a completely different concept than the PlayStation. There is one guy who is recreating it on the basis of photos of the prototype that surfaced some years ago.

So sorry PlayStation disk drive for Super Nintendo was going to be a thing and but Nintendo decided to go with Panasonic video at the last minute and that broke their agreement with Nintendo and phony decided to make the PlayStation instead and dominated the entire gaming Market

I got a chance to see the real thing before it was sold in 2020. This was when the original people who found it still had it.

How did you find one of the most unobtainium console of all times

custom made👌
