When you say 'rigged', do you mean 'animated via a keyframed skeleton'? If so, then no, this is just a numbered sequence of individual PLY files. But it works! 😀

How do you actually make animated splat? The easiest method like using footage of multiple devices?

You need to build a multi-camera rig. The more cameras the better! Anything under 30 will probably look terrible or not even work.
