#Syria: first footage from inside Aqtan prison (#Raqqa province), which was run by #SDF until few days ago. This a high-security facility that was recently built (2024). It was visited by a delegation from the Justice Ministry and the Attorney General. All detainees' cases are currently being re-examined to distinguish between ISIS members, common criminals and political prisoners. So far, 126 children and teenagers were released, as well as 8 political detainees (seen at the end of the video).

#Syria: today, the Government released ~400 #SDF/#YPG members, while SDF freed ~90 people detained over their support for the Revolution Around 1,500 detainees were released so far under the 29th January agreement, with only a few remaining (common criminals excluded) according to the Presidential envoy. The next phase will involve the handover of SDF prisons to the Interior Ministry. Efforts are also ongoing to determine the fate of missing persons.
