#Syria: 22 additional detainees, previously arrested by #SDF, were released tonight from Aqtan prison (#Raqqa province), after their cases were reviewed by the Justice Ministry. This is the 6th batch released, incl. 126 children and teenagers, since the Government took over the facility.

#Syria: first footage from inside Aqtan prison (#Raqqa province), which was run by #SDF until few days ago. This a high-security facility that was recently built (2024). It was visited by a delegation from the Justice Ministry and the Attorney General. All detainees' cases are currently being re-examined to distinguish between ISIS members, common criminals and political prisoners. So far, 126 children and teenagers were released, as well as 8 political detainees (seen at the end of the video).

The next phase will involve the handover of SDF prisons to the Interior Ministry. Efforts are also ongoing to determine the fate of missing persons.
