ELECTRONIC ARTS (EA) games on the Commodore Amiga. Founded in 1982 in Redwood City 🇺🇸 by Trip Hawkins, under the motto that game devs are software artists. Released Amiga exclusives (F/A-18), superb Mega Drive ports and published games by other developers. #AmigaReposts #gamedev

WRONG WAY DRIVER for the Commodore Amiga was coded in C++20 as a test project (by Pink^Abyss) to see if it would work on the Amiga 500 (it did). Looks and feels like a modern indie mini-game and is quite polished, featuring neat music and stylish art. #AmigaReposts #gamedev

Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker for the Amiga (1991). Classic snooker simulation designed by the late Archer Maclean and published by Virgin Games. With realistic physics, it accurately calculates ball movement, bounces, and spin. Also remarkably smooth on any hardware - this is recorded through UAE but I remember it being nice and smooth on the Amiga 500 back then.

Think open-world games started with GTA? Think again — this 1991 Amiga gem had a living Sherwood Forest with 40+ NPCs running their own lives BEFORE most of us had heard of sandbox adventures! The Adventures of Robin Hood was released in September 1991 by Millennium Interactive for the Commodore Amiga, developed initially by Steve Grand with Amiga porting by Alan McCarthy. Funny enough this game was originally conceived as a Wild West game, it then changed to Robin Hood! Robin Hood was built on the custom "Gulliver" engine, which was later reused in Rome: Pathway to Power. The atmospheric music was composed by Richard Joseph. Do you remember Sherwood Forest, was alive in this game? The forest was filled with over 40 NPCs (Non-Player Character) like Maid Marian, Little John, Friar Tuck, those merry men and others. All were driven by advanced Ai at the time with over 600 behavioral rules, living independent lives and more. True pioneer of emergent gameplay on the Amiga. Who else spent hours robbing the rich, feeding the poor, and watching seasons change in this underrated classic?

Buggy Boy (also known as Speed Buggy) is an innovative 1985 off-road arcade racing game developed by Tatsumi Electronics and published by Taito. Its clever sprite-scaling tech and playful tone made it an arcade classic. A deluxe cockpit featured 3 screens for panoramic view but it was also available in a default, single screen version. Home versions were released for Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, and Amstrad CPC.

One of the best plot twists happens in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). It completely flips audience expectations and still hits hard decades later.
