FSD V14.1.7 | Near Accident This is without a doubt the closest I have come to getting into an accident in a long time. I think had I not taken over and slammed on the brakes we would not have slowed down in time. You can see that FSD does an incredible job reacting to the car (even before I noticed it) and was slowing down, but it was not slowing down enough to stop in time. As soon as I saw the car swerving to the right I worried she was going to bounce back into my lane so that is when I decided to go full on the brakes to stop the car. You can see prior to me taking over we were full regen braking (which is FSD reacting well) but it wasn't using any real brakes at all, and ABS was not active until I took over. Let me know what you all think in the comments. I still think FSD is incredible - the reality is if you watch the video the car saw and reacted to the situation before I did, it just didn't brake as agressively as it needed to in this situation. FSD + an attentive driver is without a doubt in my mind still safer than a normal human driver who is not using FSD.

First time being pulled over by the police in a Cybertruck using FSD (brother forgot to renew his tags). It may look like I was being brave, but I honestly didn’t notice until the truck started to pull over. The cop car just had its lights on, no sirens. Edge case for sure.

Sprinkle of Cybertruck FSD mishaps. FSD v14.2.1. FSD was getting ready to make a left turn. In fairness, I pushed the pedal as there still was time to make the turn before the oncoming car. However, I took the foot off and the truck came to a stop. Then when the turn was almost complete, FSD threw the red hands and the message said "Aborted with a system error." While taking my wife to work this morning Tesla FSD 14.3.2 decided to take us off the navigation and on a 3-minute detour of the Woodlands. But then as soon as my wife was saying something about the navigation snafu, FSD showed her what is truly important, as it avoided a car in the opposite lane of traffic coming into our lane while being a jackass trying to go around a school bus full of kids. My wife may not have been pleased with the 3-minute detour, but then Tesla FSD said "put some 'spec on my name woman!"

First time I’ve seen an AV get pulled over by police. Looks like this Waymo is going to traffic school for an illegal left turn. I do like how it elegantly pulled over when the police lights went on though. Good safety feature for FSD to learn.

Without any warning and with my destination kilometers away, the car just decided to park on the side of the road in a small intersection and it stayed there until I took over. At first I thought it was moving aside to let a priority vehicle pass, but there was none. No idea what the heck the car was thinking 🧐🤷‍♂️. 🚨 The first “critical” intervention we’ve had on FSD v14 (in fact, it’s the first since we picked up the new Model Y on 8/30) The oncoming car has no stop sign. I stopped the car, but either way, it wasn’t a very “close” event, but still something that needed to be intervened. I didn’t feel as if it was a situation that I wanted the car to work itself through. I felt this was an instance when it was time to take any chance of a collision out of the question. I didn’t ever feel like one was going to happen because I knew I could stop at any time. We’ve put about 3,000 miles on the car since picking it up, a majority of those on FSD. For this to be the first real mistake it’s made, it’s not totally upsetting, but still a reminder that YOU as the driver are responsible.

Tesla Tesla Robotaxi ride two with my nephew. The car struggled to find a place to drop us and just kept circling. Support or the car changed the drop-off location. Circled again, then support got on the line with the car. Then it went for a tight parallel park and almost had it. Backed in, straightened out, then decided no and pulled out of the spot entirely. Support was eventually able to stop the car curbside and we got out.

When you mount a camera to your car and run it every time you FSD in your Tesla, you’re bound to catch those little moments of pure magic that give you chills. This might be my favorite I’ve ever captured. Here’s a very awkward edge case. I am approaching a railroad crossing from an adjacent road. At the very moment I approach the stop sign, the lights begin to flash, and the bell begins to ring. FSD V14.2 does its NHTSA stop, and is at the point when it would normally proceed (BEFORE the gate arms begin to fall). FSD is able to gather context from the flashing red lights and the sound of the bell. From an adjacent road. Without any gate arm movement as additional cue. I really wasn’t sure here, and thought I might need to take over because of our awkward positioning, and because the arms weren’t going to drop before FSD would typically go. But nope. No problem for the sentient AI. As a cherry on top… when the gate lifts, the silver car waves me on and FSD begins to engage the right turn, but it stops before executing the turn…. Wtf?… oh lol. Forgot my robot car has eyes on the side of its head. Unbelievable technology. This company is at the very beginning of something incredible. Sustainable abundance or die trying. ❤️

Fsd 13.2.8 waits until the last second to stop for a school bus with yellow flashing lights and was stopping. I didn't disengage but I was very close to having to slam on the brakes. U would think they flashing lights would warn fsd but fsd didn't handle this at all until it braked hard at the end. Seeing stuff like this just puzzles me. Yellow lights on a school bus usually means it's about to stop soon.
