I'm not a tree hugger or anything but I do think we should consider going back to glass. Even if the cost is a bit higher.

I don't believe it. I've never seen any pictures of this.

There was a recent breakdown of this “garbage patch” and it’s actually invisible from the air, and mostly invisible in a ship because it’s almost entirely submerged and made up of over 90% fishing equipment. Lines and nets, etc. the scientist that was there was part of the group studying and measuring it and they concluded it should not be removed or even disturbed because it’s become a major habitat, mainly for fish that used to live on coastlines. They recorded fish and sea life “hitching rides” to the patch and even leaving and doing it again. It’s a beautiful kind of irony, I think.

doesn't exist. Show me the live footage being shown from a barge in the Pacific. Show me areal photography. Show me on Google Earth, right now.

All the money we used in USAID for 6 months could have solved this issue.

Genuinely question. If they know where it is, why don’t we collect it up?

The floating plastic nightmare could be a reflection of a bigger nightmare we are building for ourselves and future generations.
