You only get one playing career. That’s it. There’s no redo. No second version where you “take it more serious.” No going back wishing you would’ve pushed harder. At some point, every player has to decide what they really want. Because the truth is… it’s going to cost you something. It’s going to cost you late nights with friends. It’s going to cost you comfort. It’s going to cost you being “normal.” And yeah, that means having some tough conversations. Telling your boys you can’t hang out because you’ve got work to do.
