Toyota Oil filter Changing trick

Garbage ass filter wrench.

They may a tool for that. The tool you are using is for a cartridge filter. People also overtighten cartridge filters. Hand tight is enough as long as the oring is seated

I don't swap that plug out its just another point to leak pull it off like any other oil filter

Not a trick, it's a know how (if you know)

No one uses housing drain and that metal tab is supposed to be attached to the block not the filter housing. Also get a better filter wrench
