I discussed with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew the ways to achieve a genuine peace and the further development of the church in Ukraine. I informed him about the protection of religious freedom in Ukraine, shared details of our cooperation with the American team, and invited His All-Holiness to visit Ukraine. I thank the Ecumenical Patriarch for his support, solidarity, advocacy for Ukraine’s interests, his constant prayers for all Ukrainians, and his condemnation of the actions of the Russian Orthodox Church, which has blessed the killing of Ukrainians.

This is the very reason why people say Putin has something on Trump. Why in the world would Trump refuse to say that Ukraine is an equal member of the peace process with Russia? They shouldn't just be equal. They should be the priority here. Instead Trump appears to prioritize the thug who violently and illegally invaded the nation of Ukraine. Make it make sense.
