[WATCH] We will focus on implementation and delivery. Specifically, we have identified 10 priority interventions to reignite growth in our economy: 1 The first intervention is to use electricity tariffs and investment in transmission infrastructure to drive economic activity. 2 The second intervention is to accelerate the recovery of... our freight and logistics sector. 3 The third intervention is to rebuild our chrome and manganese industries. 4 The NEC resolved that the fourth intervention must be to improve the capacity of the state to manage major projects. 5 The fifth intervention is to drive local economic development and investment in local infrastructure. 6 The sixth intervention focuses on labour activation initiatives as well as public employment. 7 The seventh intervention agreed by the NEC is to expand SMME support and investment by Development Finance Institutions. 8 The eighth intervention is to enable the growth of provincial economies outside of the main economic centres. 9 The ninth intervention is to accelerate the diversification of our trade partners, strengthen our participation in the African Continental Free Trade Area and address the impact of tariff and non-tariff barriers. 10 The tenth and final intervention is to ensure effective budget and macroeconomic coordination. #LeadUsRamaphosa #ANCEconomicActionPlanshow more

Treasury intervened this week after long-term U.S. borrowing costs surged. A reporter asked Trump whether Bessent might try another form of bond-market intervention. The question: “Have you talked to him about another type of intervention?” Trump: “We have many types of intervention. That’s one. The ultimate intervention is our military, and if we have to use that, we will.” Watch the question. Then watch the answer. What did the military have to do with the bond-market question?

You are not watching the bond market closely enough. President Trump is now threatening that the US Military could be utilized for further intervention to lower US Treasury yields. "The ultimate intervention is our military, and if we have to use that we will." Watch bonds.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum expressed Mexico's opposition to foreign intervention during a press conference: "Mexico's position in the face of any form of intervention is firm, clear, and historic. Following the recent events in Venezuela, the government of the United States carried out a direct intervention that resulted in the capture of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, as well as in the loss of human lives. Mexico reaffirms a principle that is not new and admits no ambiguities: we categorically reject intervention in the internal affairs of other countries."

Javier Milei: “Basically what Hayek pointed out in The Road to Serfdom was that every time there was an intervention, the result was worse.” “That led politicians to engage in new forms of intervention, resulting in the system functioning worse with an increasing share of intervention by the state.” “And that ultimately led to socialism and therefore to misery.”

Today, I met with Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov for, as always, fruitful and practical talks. I appreciate Bulgaria's support for our efforts to expand trade flows and restore normal shipping in the Black Sea and Danube regions. It is critical that we maintain normal economic relations despite all of the challenges. We agreed with Bulgaria to accelerate the development of logistics and infrastructure in our region. Our mutual respect for the principle of good neighborliness will contribute to both countries' economic growth. 🇺🇦🇧🇬

Yesterday, we commissioned the NADDC Automotive Training Centre in Abakaliki, the first of its kind in the South East, alongside the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Sen. John Owan Enoh, and the leadership of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC). For us in Ebonyi, this is more than a training centre. It is an investment in the skills, technology and enterprise of our young people. Our vision is clear: to build an Ebonyi where skills become businesses, businesses become industries, and industries create sustainable employment and prosperity. We appreciate NADDC and the Federal Government for this landmark intervention and look forward to deepening this partnership in the interest of our people. The future belongs to those who are prepared for it. We are preparing our young people today. - #FON

The rollout of 47 disease surveillance vehicles to counties is a strategic investment in devolved healthcare systems that will enhance real-time detection and rapid response to public health threats. Anchored in the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), this intervention bridges capacity gaps at the local level and reinforces the national goal of equitable, data-driven healthcare delivery under the Taifa Care framework. Iranians at a protest in Dublin say the country's regime must be overthrown. The people we spoke to all welcomed today's US intervention, saying they fear for their loved ones back home but foreign intervention is the only way to oust the regime and free the country.
