Bone Tide is officially out on the App Store and Google Play 🎉 The React Native Expo version runs on the exact same TypeGPU engine as the Web game, shared 1:1 between both platforms. Only the UI was ported to React This was made possible by some amazing work across the React Native open source ecosystem. Huge thanks to William Candillon for react-native-webgpu and for always helping me resolve any issues incredibly quickly :D I think it’s a pretty cool showcase of what can be built with React Native nowadays. If typing fast in your app feels like wading through mud, you need useNativeState. Every TextField in RN has felt slightly off for years; Expo UI just shipped the fix with the new useNativeState hook. Instead of trying to keep the native input and react state in sync on each keystroke, useNativeState handles the state completely on the native side. React (JS thread) only reads the value when it needs it e.g. onSubmit, using a lightweight reference. Make your app faster, read the full blog ↓

The backdrop not covering the status bar when opening a sheet on the web makes it feel... subpar compared to native. So in Silk I baked-in the ability to blend them together by automatically dimming the theme-color in sync with the backdrop opacity. Works with any color (for both the backdrop and the original theme-color), and with stacked backdrops. Only in Safari for now, as perf deteriorates in other browsers.

These young black people were born here and educated here. Despite that they hang out exclusively among their own ethnicity and they behave in a completely different way to how native children from the same areas behave. It is the ultimate demonstration of why remigration is required. Assimilation is a myth. London is an ethnically segregated third world shithole and its only redeeming features are the things built by our native ancestors. The immigrants have only made London worse and it’s why natives are taking every opportunity to leave to the shires. If you have no native blood you need to leave. We can talk about exemptions and possible carve outs later but we must start from the assumption they must all leave and work backwards from there.
