CORE subject status would arguably amend all of this on the basis that HMI's inspectors are truly upskilled to read the subject proficiently to the level expected that represents HQ PE pedagogy.

Administrators didn't really take it away. High stakes testing took it away. It's also why humanities, civics, social studies & art are not taught as much. Schools are forced to use the time they have to teach to the test or risk "failing schools" status and lose funding.

I wish my PE had been like that!!

My favorite part of school was always gym and recess. And I liked school, and did well in it. But nothing beats movement, play and competition with friends.
