Why will Tesla's Full Self-Driving software run down a kid in a school crosswalk? In the video below we analyse FSD's behavior around a child sized mannequin crossing the road in a school crosswalk. If a human drove like FSD they would be jailed for reckless driving.

Well for starters it looks like a poll not a child and the poll stands still untill you jerk it in front of car the car last second. Most likely see this as road debris or a poll hence navigate around then when you jerk it it front its the equivalent of a person standing waiting and then diving in front of a moving vehicle...not very representative...you can do better.

@Tesla The mannequin is clearly visible in the crosswalk at all times. It's never hidden from the car and FSD visualizes it as a person before running it down, without braking.

@Tesla Does FSD ever drive over the speed limit? Seems like the speed limit was 20 mph and FSD would have respected that. Unless of course there was a driver override to go faster.

@Tesla No. The speed limit is 40mph on that road. There are lots of signs telling people to slow down for the school crosswalk but FSD ignores them and drives through the school crosswalk at 43mph. You can clearly see that the accelerator pedal is not pressed.
