With FSD v14.2.1.25, Hurry Mode is now perfect. Speed control is excellent, improved lane discipline (no left lane camping) and on the highway, there is no +10 cap anymore so it stays with the flow of traffic very well. So good.

FSD v14 lite drove me 40 minutes to Westlake Village with zero interventions needed. Hurry mode on the highway is excellent at speed control, lane logic/decisions, smooth lane changes and moving around slower cars. At the destination, my car parked in the first and only available spot which unfortunately was a curbside pickup spot so switched it after. Highway performance is incredible on v14 lite, really happy with it.

🚨 Many of you asked us to test highway driving with Tesla Full Self-Driving v14.2.1.25. Here’s what we noticed: ✅ Speed Profiles are significantly improved. Hurry Mode is no longer capped at 10 MPH over the speed limit, and now travels with the flow of traffic. This is much more comfortable and requires no assistance on the driver’s end. Previously, I was helping it switch lanes with v14.2.1. ✅ Lane changes are performed much more confidently and FSD seems to make proper maneuvers at proper times. This was a regression in v14.2.1. This version is significantly better. ✅ Merging, switching lanes, and passing are all performed with zero interventions. A recurring frustration with FSD 14.3.3 It still doesn’t remember previous behavior on roads I drive every day. In both of these clips, the car unnecessarily jumps into the left lane (Hurry mode) despite clear reasons not to: • Video 1: The lane is ending and blocked by construction barrels. • Video 2: The left lane is becoming a left-turn only. In both cases, it had to force its way back into the right lane with traffic all around. Definitely not ideal.

Happy to say end to end highway FSD on the Cybertruck seems to be working well. No weird dips in speed, keeps up with traffic nicely, lane changes are natural!

V14.2.1 highway regression vs 14.1. In standard mode, FSD makes a maneuver into the left lane to pass a semi truck. Because they have jailed the speed limits of non mad max profiles, FSD cannot use acceleration to make this pass. So it ends up camping the left lane. In my right side view mirror, you can see someone coming up on my ass, and FSD is not getting back over. It’s also not speeding up to pass the semi because it is in speed jail. I had to scroll mad max to get through the maneuver. Def a regression from 14.1.

AUTO LANE CHANGE ISSUES CONTINUE W/ FSD V14.2.1.25 Starting with FSD v14.2, there has been a significant regression in the system's confidence when performing automatic lane changes. If a vehicle is following in the adjacent lane at a safe distance and consistent speed, the ego car will often activate the turn signal and begin crossing the lane line before suddenly aborting the maneuver, pausing briefly, and then either proceeding with the lane change or abandoning it entirely. This behavior appeared in v14.2.1 and unfortunately persists in v14.2.1.25. While it is not a safety issue per se, it is definitely one that needs to be addressed, as it causes confusion and frustration for all surrounding drivers on the road when it occurs. From my past visit to Chicago USA. This is traffic in rush hour. The difference there is that everyone stays in their lane and goes with the flow. No cutting lanes, no honking to get ahead. Hence stress free. We should practice this in India. #RoadSafety

Well, it happened again. On the same drive, FSD turns into the opposite lane directly into oncoming traffic twice. This is a very scary occurrence that is happening way too frequently.

Here is my first drive on Tesla FSD V14.1.2 with the new Mad Max speed profile. Mad Max mode drives very quickly and confidently. It accelerates MUCH quicker off the line (love that) and maxes out at 85mph on the highway. If you like to drive fast, you're going to love this new mode. It may not come through on screen very well, but Mad Max mode makes the car zoom around town like it's on a mission lol. It's unlike any FSD mode Tesla has ever released before. Hurry mode now maxes out at 80mph on the highway, while the new Sloth mode matches the speed limit, which for me tonight was 65mph on the highway.

Wow, Mad Max on the Cybertruck is such a great FSD profile. On the highway, it maintains a quick speed above 80 mph and effortlessly moves around traffic. One of my biggest complaints about FSD has been the speed the truck drives on the highway. It loved to keep me at 74 mph and sit in the left lane - causing fast drivers to pass me on the right. Can’t wait to keep using this for long commutes 🙌🏼
