With FSD v14.2.1.25, Hurry Mode is now perfect. Speed control is excellent, improved lane discipline (no left lane camping) and on the highway, there is no +10 cap anymore so it stays with the flow of traffic very well. So good.

V14.2.1 highway regression vs 14.1. In standard mode, FSD makes a maneuver into the left lane to pass a semi truck. Because they have jailed the speed limits of non mad max profiles, FSD cannot use acceleration to make this pass. So it ends up camping the left lane. In my right side view mirror, you can see someone coming up on my ass, and FSD is not getting back over. It’s also not speeding up to pass the semi because it is in speed jail. I had to scroll mad max to get through the maneuver. Def a regression from 14.1.

I’m really hoping that FSD V14.2.2 will take care of Mad Max’s annoying and unnecessary lane switches, especially into a lane that’s about to end. This drives me nuts sometimes and definitely makes me look like an asshole on the road 😂

I love how it chooses lanes—it’s “aggressive” but still very smooth and safe. It makes smart lane changes, often before I even think to do so. Mad Max will actually save you time getting to your destination. The Tesla AI team is cooking.

Wow, Mad Max on the Cybertruck is such a great FSD profile. On the highway, it maintains a quick speed above 80 mph and effortlessly moves around traffic. One of my biggest complaints about FSD has been the speed the truck drives on the highway. It loved to keep me at 74 mph and sit in the left lane - causing fast drivers to pass me on the right. Can’t wait to keep using this for long commutes 🙌🏼

If a vehicle is following in the adjacent lane at a safe distance and consistent speed, the ego car will often activate the turn signal and begin crossing the lane line before suddenly aborting the maneuver, pausing briefly, and then either proceeding with the lane change or abandoning it entirely. This behavior appeared in v14.2.1 and unfortunately persists in v14.2.1.25. While it is not a safety issue per se, it is definitely one that needs to be addressed, as it causes confusion and frustration for all surrounding drivers on the road when it occurs. Here is my first drive on Tesla FSD V14.1.2 with the new Mad Max speed profile. Mad Max mode drives very quickly and confidently. It accelerates MUCH quicker off the line (love that) and maxes out at 85mph on the highway. If you like to drive fast, you're going to love this new mode. It may not come through on screen very well, but Mad Max mode makes the car zoom around town like it's on a mission lol. It's unlike any FSD mode Tesla has ever released before. Hurry mode now maxes out at 80mph on the highway, while the new Sloth mode matches the speed limit, which for me tonight was 65mph on the highway.

I'm sorry but Tesla needs an emergency patch release of 14.2.1. Speed limit 55. Shows 30. Mad Max moved into left lane before tunnel - cannot change lanes in tunnel but stuck at 40 in Hurry and 50 in Mad Max. This is a gd disaster. Sorry but not sorry... Disillusioned... 🥷
