If you look from 1958 onward, the Gulf countries have stood with Lebanon every time we needed help. We have 450,000 Lebanese living in the Gulf. Most of the billions of dollars transferred by the diaspora to Lebanon come from the Gulf. So this is an umbilical relationship between us and the Gulf, and we are grateful for it. Every time Lebanon went through a crisis, the Gulf opened their doors and allowed our people to obtain visas, go and work, and send money back to Lebanon. This is very important for us, and we appreciate everything they have done. Saudi Arabia in particular has been the longest-serving country standing by Lebanon, and it has consistently supported Lebanon. They were also among the countries that helped lead the Taif Agreement, which ended the civil war in Lebanon. Saudi Arabia remains very engaged in supporting stability in Lebanon. I believe Saudi Arabia and the United States are aligned on the future of Lebanon and the region. Our other friends—France, the UK, Egypt, Qatar, and Europe in general—have also stood by us and helped us over the years. We have many friends, but we need to align ourselves on how to move forward. The key now is for this government to disarm Hezbollah and to continue peace talks in Washington in order to sign a peace agreement. This is not merely a gathering of students of the Qur’an. It is a declaration that the Qur’anic mission in Gaza is alive and unstoppable, and that the message carried by this people is stronger than every attempt to break or erase it. They tried to destroy the homes and extinguish the light of this land, yet they discovered that the true light does not live in walls — it lives in hearts. In Gaza, wars may destroy mosques and schools, but they cannot destroy the Qur’an when it lives within people’s chests. Here in northern Gaza, 1,400 memorizers stand as a message to the world: that a people who carry the Book of God will never have their spirit broken, their mission silenced, or their identity erased. These are not just images. They are proof that Gaza, despite genocide and destruction, still rises with the Qur’an and writes its future through it. 🚨In a 1990 interview, former presidential candidate Pat Buchanan described Congress as “Israeli-occupied territory.” As a result, he was viciously attacked by the corporate press and the political leadership of both parties, demonstrating beyond all doubt that he was correct in his observation. Today, the Israel Lobby in the United States is far more powerful than it was in 1990, so much so that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu actually boasts to his voters that he directs U.S. policy. You've also said that Congress is an Israeli occupied territory. Now, what do you mean by that? I said on the McLaughlin group, in response to a question, Jim, they said, do you think that the Congress of the United States will resist this demand for further aid? I said, threw out a crack. I'd heard. I said, no, the Congress of the United States is israeli occupied territory. What I meant by that is the most powerful lobby in Washington which Congress can't stand up to. One of the most powerful is certainly the pro Israeli lobby. It has gotten its way in this town year in and year out. And I don't think the automatic votes of the Congress of the United States for three and $4 billion worth of aid to Israel are necessarily in the national interest of the United States. And that comment, which is to ridicule the subservience of the Congress of the United States, is perfectly valid. I do not believe my government should subsidize Israeli socialism, which we have done. And I do not believe we should subsidize a policy on the west bank of the Jordan river which denies the palestinian people rights, which I support from Lithuania to Croatia. But if I also believe that Pat Buchanan is entitled to stand up and speak out against any kind of political lobby, whether it's the greek lobby, aid for Greece, or whether it's the pro israeli lobby, aid for Israel without being called vile names. And you think that's what's happened to you? Let me tell you something, Jim. When this little flap is 18 months old, I made this crack. I know Buckley's talking about an 18 month old column. Let's forget that. When this broke, I made that wiseacre crack about the amen corner. It was wiseacre, and it was very funny. You know what happened as a consequence of that? People called my newspapers that carried my column and said, drop Buchanan. AIPAC listed five conservative colonists who were accepted. No, the pro israeli lobby. The pro Israeli lobby. I went out to speak in the country and a little girl from the junior league said, I get these horrible calls from New York about you people. There are individuals who are pro Israeli, go around the country and speak in synagogues and say, call CNN and get Pat Buchanan taken off the air. Those kinds of tactics, in my judgment, are un american. They are done in the name of the First Amendment and they violate the spirit of the First Amendment. You know me. I've been in this town for 25 years, 30 years. I am controversial. I am sometimes insensitive. I am tough and I am hard. But I think that this type of thing is beyond the pale.

Without the intelligence, armaments & weapons America supplied to israel throughout the course of the Vietnam War (1964-1973), it's possible israel wouldn't have prevailed in the 1967 6-Day War and absolutely certain it wouldn't have survived the 1973 Yom Kippur War. And without the defense buildup of the American war industry stemming from the Vietnam War, America wouldn't have the capacity to supply israel with those necessary armaments to win. In this way, israel was the top beneficiary of the Vietnam War--just like the War On Terror! Vietnam didn't benefit. America didn't benefit. But israel did. Funny how that keeps happening. This is the other secret agenda that the "JFK" movie obscured. You ever wonder why the Vietnam War wasn't fought to be won and why it just kept pointlessly grinding on? It's because the real point was to keep the War Machine at maximum capacity for israel while the US treaded water in the war effort. Watch this "conspiracy" scene from "JFK" now and see how clever & devious their propaganda is. Note how many truths it blends in with made-up bullsh*t to go along with the glaring omissions. Today, the United States has an excellent relationship with Syria and President Sharaa, and it also maintains an excellent relationship with Israel. If I am positioned between these two countries, then, as far as I am concerned, it is in my interest for the United States to accept me as a member of its regional security coalition. In that case, the whole region could live more peacefully and securely. This would be my first request.
