I think itโ€™s about time Activision or Gameloop officials shared an update on the future of Call of Duty: Mobile on emulator. Gameloop is the only official emulator that allows you to experience the game on PC with a keyboard and mouse without the risk of being banned. However, the game hasnโ€™t been updated on Gameloop for the past 3 months. The comment section of every official Gameloop post is filled with players asking for answers, yet officials are actively ignoring these concerns. I know many will argue about the necessity of playing a mobile game on PC, but it makes the title accessible to a wide range of players who aren't comfortable gaming on small screens. The game already has a full-fledged official PC edition, but it is currently exclusive to China. If Activision chose to, they could release it globally. This would be beneficial for them, especially since many PC and console players are frustrated with recent mainline CoD titles. Most agree that CoD: Mobile is the ideal game they want to play, but they just donโ€™t want to play it on a phone. By releasing a dedicated PC version or restoring support on Gameloop, Activision could unlock a massive new player base, a percentage of whom would likely spend money in-game. Itโ€™s a win-win situation for both the developers and the players. The lack of communication needs to end! We need an official answer regarding the future of the game's global version on PC.

Trump on World Cup: Trump: All I did was ask for a review because I didnโ€™t think it was a foul. And I think it would have been terrible if they wouldnโ€™t allow, you know, a top playerโ€”maybe the best, maybe among the best players on the teamโ€”to play. I think it would have had a big stain, How would you feel if we took Messi out? You know, โ€œMessi, you ran into somebody.โ€ Or we took Ronaldo out. โ€œRonaldo, you bumped into somebody. Weโ€™re going to take you out of the game.โ€ Or Harry Kane. โ€œHarry Kane, weโ€™re going to take you out of the game, Harry, because you happened to hit somebody a little bit harder.โ€ You canโ€™t do that. If you would have taken him out, I think it would have really stained this incredible championship. Weโ€™ve got to have our best players, and Belgium has a great team, by the way. We have to have our best players, and they have to have their best players. If we win or we lose, itโ€™s fair. Otherwise, letโ€™s say we lost him and we lose the gameโ€”it would be a terrible thing. So I think they made a really brilliant decision. I think the refereeโ€™s call was horrible, and nobody talks about that. They talk about the red card like itโ€™s fine. Nobody talks about the refereeโ€™s decision to issue the red card. I didnโ€™t know what the hell a red card was. When I found out, I said, โ€œYouโ€™ve got to be kidding.โ€ This guy just holds it up: โ€œOK, your best player is not going to play in the next game.โ€ I said, โ€œWow, thatโ€™s a lot of power. Thatโ€™s terrible.โ€ But then I looked at his past, and it wasnโ€™t so great.

Iga Swiatek on constantly being filmed at Australian Open and other tournaments, โ€˜The question is, are we tennis players? Or are we animals in the zoo? It would be nice to have some privacyโ€™ โ€œI wanted to ask something that Coco was talking about last night. The cameras backstage at the tournamentโ€ฆ I know you got filmed recently forgetting your credentialโ€ฆ youโ€™re sort of always on camera at a lot of different tournament areas.. Iโ€™m wondering if you think there should be more privacy for players and their teams as theyโ€™re back there? Or how you see the balance of that versus them trying to have entertainment and content coming out.โ€ Iga: โ€œThe question is, are we tennis players? Or are we animals in the zoo? Where they are observed even when theyโ€™re pooping. Ok, that was exaggerating obviously, but it would be nice to have some privacy. It would be nice also to have your own process and not always be observed. For example, in other sports, you have some technical things you wanna do. It would be nice to have some space you can do that without the whole world watching. On Wimbledon there are courts where people with accreditation can get there but itโ€™s without the fans. There are some tournaments where itโ€™s impossible and youโ€™re constantly observed. I donโ€™t think it should be like that because we are tennis players. Weโ€™re meant to be watched on court and in the press. Thatโ€™s our job. Itโ€™s not our job to be a meme when you forget your accreditation. Itโ€™s funny for sure. People have something to talk about. For us, I donโ€™t think itโ€™s necessary.โ€ โ€œHave you talked to the tournament about it here?โ€ Iga: โ€œWhatโ€™s the point?โ€ (via Australian Open Press)

Max Levchin explains why B-players hire C-players The co-founder of PayPal and Affirm reflects on the famous Steve Jobs insight that A-players hire A-players, and B-players hire C-players: โ€œItโ€™s profoundly true. But there should be an asterisk explaining why this is true. And the reason for this is fear.โ€ A-players love working with other A-players because they know it will make them better. They want other A-players who challenge them and will tell them when their work isnโ€™t good. Most B-players are net positive too, but as Max argues, some are fearful and will say: โ€œIf I have too many B-players or A-players around, I will look terrible and itโ€™ll be very obvious that Iโ€™m just not that good. So the way to fix this is for me to become a manager and hire a bunch of people who arenโ€™t very good at all so that Iโ€™ll look like the tallest mushroom.โ€ Max continues: โ€œThat is the real danger of B-players. Having people who are perfectly willing to do good work day-in and day-out is not the worst thing in the world. Thereโ€™s plenty of things that A-players will turn their nose from because itโ€™s just not that challenging. B-players are very good for that [type of work]. And a lot of B-players will over time grind their way to being A-players, so youโ€™re investing in their future and they know it, and thatโ€™s also positive. But B-players who have fear of being found out are the ones you have to watch out for.โ€ Source: Harry Stebbings 20VC Fund (Feb 2025)
