I mean he is holding up Stiven's post so we know there is updated engine and likely they want to maintain 1 engine for all the iterations (classic, Cameolot/Classic+ , retail) this is what drives the game and it makes it a modular to adapt / update. The graphics part is hard to know but possibly they do have retail graphics for this to modernize the look.
