Sheriff Waters was picking up an order at customer service when a store employee flagged him down. A man was attempting to leave the store with roughly $500 in merchandise. Sheriff Waters and a retired robbery detective chased the man. When the Sheriff tried to grab him by his sweatshirt, the man twisted away. The Sheriff pursued him to the edge of the parking lot, where he took him to the ground. The man struggled to get away and resisted, but with the help of the retired detective, they were able to get him into handcuffs as shoppers cheered them on. District 2 Patrol officers responded quickly and took over the investigation. The suspect has been identified as Raymond Pena, Jr. of Jacksonville (40). He is charged with theft and resisting. He also had two active warrants for theft. โ€œJust because I was elected sheriff doesnโ€™t mean Iโ€™m no longer a policeman,โ€ said Sheriff Waters, who recently cited a teenager for littering. The Sheriff and detective were not injured in the scuffle. Sheriff Waters says he will always do what he can to protect the city.

This tow truck driver goes off on these kids. They ran out of gas on the side of the road and a firemen noticed them so he stopped and he gave them some gas. When they went to start the car, the battery was dead. Couldnโ€™t figure out the reason. The firefighter radioed the sheriff. The sheriff then called this tow truck driver. The kids thought the Sheriff was coming. The tow truck driver arrives. Mind you, he got the call at 5:40 AM. The kid tells him they canโ€™t pay for a tow and donโ€™t need one and they canโ€™t pay for a jump either, which they need. He goes ballistic. Well, the tow truck driver forgot his jumper cables. Didnโ€™t pack them. ๐Ÿคฏ You can hear him screaming and cussing at the kid. Said he only got one hour of sleep. Eventually a passerby stopped and jumped their battery and they went on their way. A couple of things, one, for the youngsters, or anyone for that matter, never travel without jumper cables. You never know when you will need them. Two, what kind of tow truck driver doesnโ€™t have jumper cables? ๐Ÿคฏ The tow truck driver talking to them like that is unacceptable. Sure he wasnโ€™t going to get paid. I get it. This is the job you signed up for, being awakened at all hours of the night. Once he knew there was no money he had two choices, leave and go back home or stay and help. He didnโ€™t have cables himself so just leave. Get mad at the Sheriff! ๐Ÿ’ฏ Would you have been upset like that if you were the tow truck driver? Do you carry jumper cables in your car? Have you ever been stranded and needed help?

Sheriff conducts illegal stop and has little understanding of the rights of the citizens he swore to protect. โ€‹Haskell County Sheriff David Haliburton pulled over this familyโ€™s white van for one reason: he claimed he was looking for a "white van" reported to be traveling the wrong way (northbound in the southbound lanes) near a roadside park. Because this vehicle happened to be a white van, Haliburton initiated the stop to "make sure it wasn't them." Under the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, law enforcement must have reasonable, articulable suspicion that a specific vehicle or its occupants are involved in criminal activity or a traffic infraction before initiating a stop. โ€‹The driver was operating their vehicle completely lawfully, staying in the correct lane, and obeying all traffic laws when the sheriff saw them upto and including when he was stopping them. โ€‹Simply driving a vehicle of a common color and type does not automatically strip a citizen of their constitutional protections. โ€‹"Making sure it wasn't them" is not a legal standard; it is a fishing expedition. As the elected Sheriff, David Haliburton wasn't just a novice deputy on his first weekโ€”he was the chief law enforcement officer of the county. He is expected to possess a deep, thorough understanding of constitutional boundaries. For a sheriff to confidently execute a detention based on nothing more than a vehicle colorโ€”ignoring the fact that the vehicle was driving perfectly legallyโ€”is a massive failure of training and leadership. The driver handled the situation perfectly. By remaining calm, articulating the law, and explicitly pointing out that the sheriff was risking his qualified immunity by conducting an unlawful detention, the driver shifted the leverage. Recognizing that he had zero legal basis to prolong the stop, the sheriff ultimately backed down, returned the identification, and let the family go. โ€‹Know your rights. If you don't use them, you lose them.

taehyun wrote 'bird of night' to give us comfort. a gentle hand reaching out in the quiet hours, when the world feels too heavy to carry on our shoulders. he crafted it for our sleepless nights, the ones where anxiety whispers the loudest, and peace feels the furthest from reach. he wrote it for the lonely parts of us; the parts we often hide from the world, the ones that ache to be seen and long to be understood. in every note and lyric, there's a quiet reassurance: you are not alone. his voice becomes a lullaby for the soul, wrapping around us like a soft blanket in the darkness. 'bird of night' is more than just a song. itโ€™s a sanctuary, a refuge we run to when everything else feels like itโ€™s falling apart. in the stillness of the night, when tears fall without warning and our hearts feel unbearably heavy, taehyun's warm voice finds us. it holds us. the song doesnโ€™t try to fix the pain, but it stays with us in it, like a quiet friend who simply sits beside you and says, i see you. i'm here. there's something so achingly beautiful about how 'bird of night' touches the most rawest parts of us. it doesnโ€™t shy away from the darkness, instead it walks into it with us, hand in hand, and lights a little candle of hope. and sometimes, that little light is all we need to make it through. it heals from the inside out with tenderness. like a soft breeze after a storm, reminding us that weโ€™ve survived this far, and weโ€™re not alone in our fight to keep going. taehyun gave us this song not just as an artist, but as a human being who understands the quiet battles we fight. and in doing so, he gave us more than music. he gave us a piece of his heart, and a reason to hold on and keep going every single day.

GUESS WHAT - MAHAMA SAYS HE WAS A SPARE DRIVER? AND ADMITS AS VICE PRESIDENT HE WASNโ€™T THE MAIN DRIVER? Our former President, John Mahama came to us in 2012 with his usual lies and sweet talk and basically told us about how he was a spare Driver and needed the country to make him the main driver. Yes John Mahama, told us he was a spare driver and this was even at a time when he got the chance to become President fully, prior to being elected President a few months later. This man had his chance, he had the brightest opportunity with one of the most buoyant economies and messed it up. For each of the 4 years, 6 months of this presidency, each of our indicators got worst, at a time where there was no global crisis. Pure incompetency. Imagine such an incompetent man handling affairs during such a Global Economic crisis. One that has hit even the 1st world country. Did Mahama tell us he was a spare Driver in 2012? Yes he did.. And he told us that Prof Mills started his term and he was finishing it for him? The term was Prof. Millsโ€™ term? He wasnโ€™t part? Today, he has a Problem with Dr. Bawumia saying he is a Mate and not the main driver? The level of dishonesty and insincerity in John Mahamaโ€™s speeches is from the 80s. The NDC are asking us to give the country to a Spare Driver who asked for the chance, got it and crashed us?
