Rupani Khasam Bhai, Owner of SKR Food Products R/o. Chirag... Ali Lane, Abids for manufacturing adulterated ginger-garlic paste. The unit was operating in unhygienic conditions, using inferior raw materials and additives like acetic acid and xanthan gum, with no proper food safety standards. The products were supplied to restaurants and retail outlets, posing a serious public health risk. Authorities seized over 4032 kg of adulterated paste, 6210 kg of low-quality raw materials, and related items worth about ₹22 lakh. The accused and seized materials were handed over to Mailardevpally Police for further action.show more

On credible information, the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, Khairtabad Zone Team, Hyderabad, conducted a surprise inspection at premises Shehzada Food Master #11-1-1162, Near Gatala Masjid, Afzalsagar, Habeeb Nagar, Mallepally, Hyderabad, under the limits of Habeeb Nagar PS. During the inspection, (01) accused person by name Mohammed Farooq (50), Owner of (Shehzada Food Master), a R/o Nampally, was manufacturing ginger and garlic paste in plastic containers under highly unhygienic conditions by mixing the chemicals like Ascitic Acid, Synthetic food colors, gum powder and Salt. The accused was found indulging in illegal manufacturing of bakery products under unhygienic conditions without valid licenses. During the raid, bakery materials and products worth ₹2,77,630/- were seized. Investigation revealed that the accused was manufacturing and storing bakery items in highly unhygienic conditions without food, trade, or labour licenses and without adhering to fire safety norms. The products were being illegally supplied to kirana stores, cafés, and hotels, thereby posing a serious threat to public health. A case has been registered in Cr. No. 68/2026 under Sections 274, 275, 318(4) BNS at Tappachabutra Police Station. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Addl. DCP Ande Srinivasa Rao, with the participation of Task Force and Tappachabutra Police officials.

The accused was found manufacturing and supplying ice candies and lassi in highly unhygienic conditions, allegedly using chemicals and unsafe ingredients with the intent of earning illegal profits, thereby posing a serious risk to public health. During the operation, police seized huge quantities of ice candies, lassi products, raw materials, and manufacturing equipment, including storage units and packing machinery. The total value of the seized property is approximately ₹5.44 lakh.

Police seized approximately 3,790 kilograms of adulterated dairy products worth Rs 18.26 lakhs on Wednesday, March 4, in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The accused, Mohammed Junaid Hussain, illegally manufactured adulterated dairy products, including ghee, cow cream, and buffalo cream. He sold them under the brand "Pride Dairy" located in Bholanagar, Banjara Hills, Road no 12. The police raided Pride Dairy and apprehended the owner, Hussain, 26 years old, who was allegedly mixing palm oil, vanaspati (vegetable oil) and other low-quality substances in ghee to sell it to the public .Police seized a total of 460 kgs of adulterated ghee, 70 kgs of adulterated mixed ghee, 2,090 kgs of adulterated cow cream, and 1,170 kgs of adulterated buffalo cream. These adulterated products were being sold as original pure ghee to the public, hotels, and event organisers, posing a significant risk to public health.

Acting on credible information, the team inspected the premises of M/s Al Akbar Fast Food and Godown, located at New Laad Bazar, Panch Mohalla, Charminar. During the inspection, it was found that food items were being prepared and stored under extremely unhygienic and hazardous conditions, posing a serious threat to public health. ✳️Major Violations Observed: • Operation without a mandatory FSSAI licence. • Use of prohibited/artificial food colours (MSK Lion Green and Raspberry Red). • Reuse of stale and hazardous cooking oil. • Absence of water analysis certification and quality control measures. • Gross unhygienic conditions and lack of pest control. Seizure Details: • Approximately 110 kg of prepared fried chicken. • 6 tins of loose cooking oil (15 litres each). • Artificial chemical food colours. Two persons responsible for running the illegal operations have been apprehended. FBOs are procuring Cheese Analogue from manufacturers and from states such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh, and selling it as paneer. The same product is often marketed under misleading labels like “Low Fat Paneer”, “Medium Fat Paneer”, or “Fresh Paneer”, or sold without manufacturing details, batch number, or expiry date. In some cases, FBOs unknowingly order paneer but are supplied Cheese Analogue as a substitute. Manufacturers supply these products with labels declaring “Cheese Analogue” and disclaimers such as “not responsible for loose sale” and “contains no dairy fat”; however, at the retail level, FBOs misrepresent or knowingly sell them as paneer to increase profits. It is also observed that some manufacturers and retail shop owners are operating without valid FSSAI licenses. Certain FBOs are procuring Cheese Analogue in bulk and repacking it under misleading labels such as “Premium Paneer” without licence, proper declaration, or traceability. Inspections have revealed adulteration practices including addition of starch, excess water, non-milk fats, use of poor-quality or synthetic milk, and non-food-grade substances, along with violations such as absence of mandatory labelling, invalid licences, and unhygienic storage. Seizure of Adulterated and Misbranded Products: During raids conducted yesterday, approximately 45 outlets and 8 manufacturing units were inspected, and about 825 kg of suspected adulterated/misbranded products were seized. These practices pose serious health risks including food poisoning, allergic reactions, and consumption of inferior and unsafe products. Strict enforcement drives are ongoing, and samples are being collected for analysis. Violations will attract stringent legal action. Public Advisory: Purchase paneer only from licensed vendors, check labels and expiry details, avoid loose/unlabelled products, and report violations. 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 It has come to the notice of the authorities that Cheese Analogue products (made from vegetable fats and non-milk ingredients) are being sold as Paneer, Malai Paneer, or Milk Paneer without proper declaration, amounting to misbranding and consumer deception. FBOs are procuring Cheese Analogue from manufacturers and from states such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh, and selling it as paneer. The same product is often marketed under misleading labels like “Low Fat Paneer”, “Medium Fat Paneer”, or “Fresh Paneer”, or sold without manufacturing details, batch number, or expiry date. In some cases, FBOs unknowingly order paneer but are supplied Cheese Analogue as a substitute. Manufacturers supply these products with labels declaring “Cheese Analogue” and disclaimers such as “not responsible for loose sale” and “contains no dairy fat”; however, at the retail level, FBOs misrepresent or knowingly sell them as paneer to increase profits. It is also observed that some manufacturers and retail shop owners are operating without valid FSSAI licenses. Certain FBOs are procuring Cheese Analogue in bulk and repacking it under misleading labels such as “Premium Paneer” without licence, proper declaration, or traceability. Inspections have revealed adulteration practices including addition of starch, excess water, non-milk fats, use of poor-quality or synthetic milk, and non-food-grade substances, along with violations such as absence of mandatory labelling, invalid licences, and unhygienic storage. Seizure of Adulterated and Misbranded Products: During raids conducted yesterday, approximately 45 outlets and 8 manufacturing units were inspected, and about 825 kg of suspected adulterated/misbranded products were seized. These practices pose serious health risks including food poisoning, allergic reactions, and consumption of inferior and unsafe products. Strict enforcement drives are ongoing, and samples are being collected for analysis. Violations will attract stringent legal action. Public Advisory: Purchase paneer only from licensed vendors, check labels and expiry details, avoid loose/unlabelled products, and report violations. Warning to FBOs: Ensure proper declaration of Cheese Analogue, maintain mandatory labelling and valid licences, and avoid repacking or selling analogue as paneer; violations will invite strict legal action. Based on credible information, the sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team of Hyderabad City Police, along with Sanath Nagar Police, conducted a raid at premises within the limits of Sanath Nagar and apprehended one individual who was involved in adulterating tea powder using synthetic chemicals. On inquiry, the main accused, Jagannath Bishnoi (33), disclosed that he was involved in the adulteration of tea powder for the purpose of illegal profit. He stated that he used to purchase cocopeat, filter excess coconut husk, and mix it with hot jaggery water, after which the mixture was dried for two to three days. After drying, synthetic food colours—Sunset Yellow and Tartrazine Orange—were added, which were absorbed by the jaggery-mixed cocopeat. The coloured mixture was again allowed to dry before being used in the adulteration process. For preparing one kilogram of adulterated tea powder, the accused mixed 450 grams of low-quality tea dust, 500 grams of low-quality tea granules, and 50 grams of colour-mixed cocopeat. He further stated that the adulterated tea powder was supplied and sold to local tea stalls and other dealers at a higher price, misrepresenting it as genuine tea powder. The general public is advised to purchase tea powder only from authorized and reputed sellers and to report any suspected cases of food adulteration to the concerned authorities. Food business operators are warned that involvement in food adulteration, which poses a serious risk to human life, will attract criminal cases and strict legal action.
