The inspection revealed that the unit was involved in large-scale production and distribution of substandard ice cream products of various flavours, including Mango, Vanilla, American Nuts, Butter Scotch, Dry Fruit, Strawberry, Cream & Cookies, Special Flavours, and Malai Kulfi, along with small โ€œPepsiโ€ ice cream packs. These were being supplied to wholesale and retail markets under misleading claims of quality. It was further observed that expired ingredients such as Pineapple and Custard Apple flavouring agents, along with synthetic food colours, were being used in the preparation process, posing significant health risks to consumers. The premises were maintained under highly unsanitary conditions, with improper storage and handling of raw materials and finished products, rendering them unfit for human consumption. A substantial quantity of adulterated ice cream products, synthetic food colours, and expired flavouring agents, collectively valued at approximately โ‚น1,75,000/-, were seized during the raid. The apprehended individual along with the seized material has been handed over to the SHO, Musheerabad Police Station, for further investigation and necessary legal action. HISTORYSHEETER ROWDY ARRESTED; FAMILY ATTACKED POLICEMEN A 26-year-old history-sheeter was arrested during a ganja raid in Pulianthope after police seized narcotic substances from his residence. Police also registered a separate case against his relatives for attacking officers during the operation. A video of the altercation later circulated on social media. Acting on a tip-off about the sale of ganj in the Pulianthope, a team from the Basin Bridge Police Station, led by Sub-Inspector Krishnakumar and other personnel, conducted a raid on a house in Gandhi Nagar Fifth Street on Sunday night. The house belonged to Nandakumar, 26, who is listed as a history-sheeter by the police. During the search, officers seized 29 packets of ganja weighing a total of 10 grams and six syringes from the premises. Police said women present in the house initially objected to the search and attempted to prevent officers from carrying out the raid. After Nandakumar was arrested and police attempted to take him into custody, his mother and other female relatives assaulted the officers. According to police, the officers used force to protect themselves and bring the situation under control. A video showing the confrontation between police personnel and the family members subsequently went viral on social media platforms. Nandakumar was taken to the Basin Bridge Police Station, where a case was registered against him under relevant provisions relating to possession of narcotic substances. He was inquired further. In a related development, Nandakumarโ€™s mother, Meena, went to the police station and demanded her sonโ€™s release. Police said she injured her wrist with a razor blade during the protest and argued with officers inside the station premises. She was later sent away after intervention by police personnel. The Basin Bridge police registered a separate case against Nandakumarโ€™s relatives for obstructing and assaulting police personnel during the raid.

Tumakuru district witnessed a thrilling chase scene on Monday that could rival a movie script. Information has now come to light that the national highway was briefly blocked during an operation to apprehend accused involved in a theft at Jagadamba Jewelry store near #BencheGate in #Kalamabella, #Shira taluk. Arrested 10 persons. Based on credible information about large-scale adulteration of tea powder, the Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST) team of Hyderabad City Police raided at 15 manufacturing units, involved in the preparation and supply of adulterated Tea Powder. After raid it's found, operators of 10 manufacturing units were mixing artificial synthetic colours and using low-quality materials to increase profits. Expired materials also found, they were supplying to roadside vendors as well as reputed vendors. The accused shows the media how they Mixing Synthetic colours in low quality tea. In the Operation 10 persons were arrested and seized 3000 kg Adulterated Tea Powder and 1500 kg Expired Tea Powder, 100 kg Jaggery powder and artificial synthetic colours. Investigation revealed that the accused were involved in unsafe and illegal practices such as mixing artificial colours, jaggery juice, used tea powder, and expired tea powder to improve appearance. The accused procured low-quality tea powder from vendors in Kolkata, Kerala and Assam, and adulterated the same using synthetic food colours such as Sunset Yellow FCF, Tartrazine and Total dye colour.
