According to eyewitnesses, thick black smoke began billowing from the vehicle's engine bay while it was travelling on the freeway. The driver managed to pull over safely before the double-cab bakkie was engulfed in flames. Emergency services and fire brigade personnel responded swiftly to the scene and worked to extinguish the blaze. No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined. #LimpopoChronicle

In the first minibus, 27 passengers were found on board, with only one person in possession of a valid passport. In the second minibus, which was carrying 23 passengers, only one passenger had a valid passport. The two South African drivers are expected to face charges related to human trafficking. Their mission is to raise awareness about service delivery challenges in Mokgolobotho, Dan, and surrounding areas such as Nkowankowa, Petanenge, Khujwana, and Mhlava. Tshimbane from Mokgoloboto and Ramajela from Dan Extension began their journey on 29 April 2025. Monday marks their 27th day on the road. The letter they intend to submit highlights challenges that include a lack of clean water, proper roads, infrastructure, and consistent electricity. They often sleep in abandoned houses, filling stations, and police stations while they carry their luggage on foot. 𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧 🕊 The funeral service of Greater Giyani Municipality technician Xichavo Ntsanwisi (31) was held on Saturday at Mhinga Village outside Malamulele, Limpopo. Ntsanwisi was tragically found stabbed to death at his Midrand apartment on 22 September 2025. A 22-year-old woman, Jo-Ann Ntokoto Mabasa, was arrested at the scene and has since appeared in court on a murder charge. Police confirmed that Mabasa allegedly admitted to the crime and was present when officers arrived. Family, friends, and colleagues gathered to mourn the loss of the young technician, remembering his dedication to his work and the positive impact he had on those around him.
