Leg Press is the other most-commonly-done-poorly exercise I see at the gym. Here's what I do to grow the quads (leg day brought to you by Maison du Coq): - Lower the weight. Probably a lot. If you can do 10 plates/side, your form *likely* sucks - Feet LOW of platform. We want most of the bend/tension to be in the knee/quad, rather than just the hip/glute - If applicable, make your seat is leaned back - Go as far down/deep as possible. Might have to improve hip and ankle mobility to get the most out of it here. It's OK if your knees go in front of your toes. That whole thing is a myth - You can use straps to hold onto the handles, and pull like no tomorrow - CFRT, smooth and controlled on the way down, explosive and controlled on the way up Congrats. You're now one of the 0.001% of people who do this exercise well!

Pec Fly/Pec Deck is one of the exercises i see most commonly done wrong in real life. Mainly from ego and wanting to lift the full stack. The following have helped me significantly: (if others have more tips/cues, please share) - Lower the weight - Recommend putting the handles very far back to make sure we can get a full stretch - keep your shoulders down and back the ENTIRE TIME. Think about holding an apple between your shoulder blades throughout ENTIRE REP (do not let shoulders round forward at front of rep) - Don't worry about your hands touching in the front, think about touching your biceps/elbows together - Keep arms pretty straight on concentric. Goal is to simply bring arms across the body, NOT act like you're hugging a tree - You can get a good stretch on these, so take advantage of it

With summer right around the corner, those abs BETTER be popping... If not, welcome to ab training 101: - All I've done for years is 2 sets of cable crunches 2-3x/wk - Like anything else, you must progressively overload - Make sure you think "chest up & flex your spine" on the way up for a good stretch - And think "bring chest to hip" on the way down to really hit em - Most important step...lose body fat!!! Voila! 🪄 (Honorable mention to crunch machine and leg raises *when done correctly*)

I think this is the 1st set of DB bench Ive ever filmed in my life Started keeping DBs at 45° throughout entire rep and its great I also like the slightest incline on the bench, as it allows me to arch (helps me keep shoulders pinned back/down) w/out making it decline press

I have started doing my dips slightly more bent forward, and bringing my knees up to be able to counter-balance For the first time, I have been feeling my chest to get absolutely blasted by dips Watching the video back, I could probably afford to bend forward a little bit less

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The neutral-grip lat pulldown is by far my favorite variation. I'm able to connect best with it - try to keep shoulders pinned down (think: keep shoulders away from ears) - intentionally reach up on the eccentric (but be sure to keep load on lats) - drive elbows into hips, DONT think: "I need to pull this bar down" - I like to pretend my entire lat is a 3 inch piece of string that goes from the top of my lat to the very top of my arm, and just try to contract that small area (see picture)

Belt squats are so money. Been doing them for the past 7ish months and have LOVED them Some tips: - elevate feet w plates (if necessary) to be able to go all the way down w/out bottoming the machine - same with any leg machine: go as deep as you can to hit the quads best - i like narrow feet, slightly angled outward - hold onto the handles as LIGHTLY as possible!!!!!!! (want all tension on quads) - CFRT, slight pause at bottom too if you'd like (I like) - weight on heels Try these out a couple times, get your foot placement down, and watch your legs turn into grain silos

Arms: Ive always liked the basic arm exercises: DB curls, regular tri extensions, etc. Theyre some of the easiest things to ego lift, so going in with the mindset of... >NOT impressing anybody with the weight< ...is usually best It's usually those with the small arms curling the 60lb DBs
