"Cleanliness is next to Godliness," yet littering is a... major problem. It is our responsibility to refrain from such behaviour A short thread on some instances of public littering in Indian cinema. 1) Big B's character casually littering in the iconic song Rim Jhim Gire Saawanshow more

A Russian woman is disappointed at Indians’ casual littering.... India isn’t even her country, yet she feels bad, while Indians, sitting at Wagah border of all places, where national pride should come naturally, throw trash without a second thought. Eleven years of an old man requesting people to keep the nation clean under Swachh Bharat, and still no change. Littering isn’t an exception, it’s the rule. The masses do it shamelessly. The only thing they deserve is the Latth, but in our democracy, these very litterbugs are worshipped as janta janardan instead. What a pathetic state of affairs!show more

The girl and her family appeared educated and well-off,... yet they discarded trash in the open. When someone pointed it out, instead of apologizing and picking it up, they engaged in an argument. This isn’t an isolated incident. Try reasoning with anyone littering in public, and the arrogant response you’ll often get is, “Mind your own business.” Most of us lack even the most basic sense of cleanliness, yet we demand European-level standards from the administration. Ironically, this arrogance is more common among the educated and/or affluent.show more

Somebody has posted this on sub reddit of Noida... and this is horrifying Stray dog menace at 16 floor. She has written this- This is the aftermath of a brutal attack by a stray dog on my brother and our pet dog. We live on the 16th floor and yet there is dog menace as some so-called "dog lovers" feed the strays without taking the responsibility of their shelter and behaviour towards others. The major bloodshed you see here is of our dog who himself was adopted by us from the streets 6 years ago. He got 4 stitches on his face and is currently in such a critical stage that I can’t even share the photo. The attack happened right outside our doorstep when my brother was taking him for an evening walk, it was extremely unforeseen and spontaneous. Our dog was also wearing a muzzle and did not indulge in any sort of provocation. This in fact is half the bloodshed compared to the one in the corridor of our building. Despite all this, no proper responsibility is being taken by the ones who feed the other dog. The thing is that dog menace in this country has really become concerning and proper action needs to be taken to resolve it. Stray dog menace is out of hand and no comments about dog lovers.show more

It’s simple, Joey. Because actual conservationists do not want... tens of thousands of acres of forest felled just to cover the it up with solar panels when a greater number of homes can be powered by natural gas or nuclear, which require far less land. Rooftop solar is fine (if you want to spend money installing it). ✅ Littering the landscape with solar is just silly and pointless. 🙅‍♂️show more
