Kimi K3 beats GPT 5.6 Sol on both speed... and in cost in backend bug fixing ! Planted 4 defects in the same Python order service: a wrong-total calculation, a broken access-control check (IDOR), a crash on invalid input, and an inventory oversell. Both models got identical code and the same prompt, with an automated test suite verifying every fix over the live API. Both went 4/4, but by the time Kimi K3 finished all 4, GPT 5.6 had only fixed 2. Kimi wrapped in under half the time, at half the cost. KIMI K3 JUST RECREATED A FUNCTIONAL GAME BOY ADVANCE... IN 3D → interactive 3D model, every button and screen modeled → a game loaded and playable right inside it → camera you can rotate and zoom around the device → one single prompt, zero external assets $3 in API with K3. the same result would run about $9 with Fable 5 and $6 with Opus 4.8 this isn't generating a static image of hardware anymore, it's generating a working simulation of it, from the shell to the screen to the game running insideshow more

MOONSHOT JUST CLONED CLAUDE CODE AND MADE IT FREE.... It's called Kimi Code CLI. Open source, MIT license, maintained by the lab that shipped K3 yesterday. And it does things Claude Code doesn't: → drop a screen recording into the chat as input → built-in coder, explore, and plan subagents, each in its own context → plan mode before it touches a single file → MCP servers configured by the agent itself via /mcp-config → plugs into Zed, JetBrains, and VS Code → one binary, no Node setup, starts in milliseconds The CLI costs $0. K3 behind it starts at $3 per million tokens. Grab it for free👇show more

Kimi K3 vs GPT-5.6 vs Claude Fable 5 A... game is one of the hardest places to fake working code. A web app can hide bugs behind a polished screenshot. A game can't. Bad collision, clipping, jitter, broken physics, awkward controls, or a snowboard sinking into the terrain become obvious within seconds. That's why I like using games to evaluate coding models. I gave Kimi K3 a single prompt to build a snowboard game in Godot, and just 20 seconds of gameplay told me more than a page of benchmark scores ever could. Benchmarks matter, but watching a model build something interactive reveals a different side of its capabilities. If the gameplay feels right, the systems work together, and the experience holds up under real input, that's a much more convincing demonstration than any leaderboard.show more

KIMI K3 VS OPUS 4.8 SIMULATING A 3D PARTICLE... SYSTEM same prompt, same target: thousands of particles reacting to gravity and to each other in real time → K3: more organic distribution, smoother motion, particles actually cluster and drift like something physical → Opus: more rigid pattern, less natural, movement reads more like a grid than a simulation K3: $0.65 in API. Opus 4.8: ~$1.30 this is simulated physics, not just aesthetics, and it's the kind of detail that separates a demo from something you'd actually shipshow more

I'M PROBABLY ONE OF THE PEOPLE CONTRIBUTING TO THE... GPUS DYING 😭 Built the same Crossy Road clone with both Kimi K3 and Opus 4.8 using their respective API keys inside Cursor, so neither model had a framework advantage despite the 2.7× difference in cost. Both produced fully playable games with solid physics, but Kimi's UI felt slightly more polished Kimi cost $7.11, Opus cost $19. Pretty impressive considering the price gapshow more

THIS GUY IS BUILDING INSANE CUSTOM SITES FOR $0.23... IN API COSTS WITH THE NEW KIMI K3 currently #1 on the coding arena. the video attached shows a complex, highly detailed website. it was coded entirely by a new model called Kimi K3. early testers are calling it scarily good because it quietly removes the need for complex agent swarms. here is the instant breakdown of what makes it terrifying. 1. native vision in the loop it iterates code while analyzing live screenshots of its own output. it literally looks at the site it builds and corrects the styling autonomously. 2. massive sparse architecture it has 2.8 trillion parameters but only activates 50b per token. this makes it insanely fast and allows for a native 1,000,000 token context window. 3. recursive self-improvement it spends a massive amount of compute on self-verification. it runs unit tests and simulates environments before giving you the final frontend code. 4. brutal economics it costs exactly $3 per million input tokens. the entire custom site in the video cost around $0.23 to generate. the era of orchestrating 12 dumb agents to build a simple web app is over. one smart instance is all you need.show more

Blender just became a prompt box. With Kimi K3... connected through Blender MCP, you can describe a scene like this in plain English and let the model handle the ugly part: terrain, buildings, lighting, materials, camera movement, animation, and the Python scripts holding everything together. The interesting part is not the first render. Kimi can inspect the result, notice that the camera clips through a tree or the city looks suspiciously like plastic, then edit the actual Blender scene and render it again instead of restarting from zero. You still need taste, because “make it cinematic” remains one of humanity’s least useful instructions. But the distance between an empty Blender file and a fully editable 3D world just got embarrassingly small. A few years ago, creating this meant weeks of modeling, scripting, lighting, and animation. Now you can describe the world, watch Kimi build it, and spend your time fixing the final 10% instead of manually constructing the first 90%. Kimi K3 + Blender MCP is basically text-to-3D without trapping the result inside a useless generated video. Every object, material, light, camera, and keyframe stays editable.show more

$31 MILLION HOTEL. EVERY PIPE AND WIRE MAPPED IN... ADVANCE. BUILT BY TYPING SENTENCES INSTEAD OF PLACING THEM BY HAND. A 190-room hotel needed its ductwork, plumbing, electrical, and fire suppression modeled and coordinated before construction could start. The design team connected Kimi K3 to their modeling software through MCP, then had it read photos of the blueprints alongside plain English descriptions of each system and build the model directly instead of placing every component by hand. Old process: 3 engineers, 6 weeks, around $47,000. New process: 1 engineer confirming the AI's output, 9 days, roughly $10,500 combined, engineer's time plus AI compute. Coordinated models finished this way cut change orders by 60 to 80 percent once construction begins. See the article below for a smaller example of the Kimi K3 + Blender MCP workflow.show more

DeepSeek V4 Flash being ranked almost equal to Opus... 4.8 is actually insane to me. Against Kimi K3, Opus 5, GPT-5.6 Sol, and Qwen 3.8 Max Preview, you give up a LOT by choosing DeepSeek. OpenCode Go is now wired into Codex!! The pricing... is insane. $10 gets you 10,000 DeepSeek requests every 5 hours (no weekly limits). I converted that into DeepSeek API dollars because I thought I was reading it wrong, and the same 5 hours of usage would run somewhere between $10 and $30 depending on how big your context gets. So one afternoon of use already covers the whole sub. It comes with Kimi K3 as well. Both sit in the picker next to my other models now. Next time we hit a limit in the middle of a loop, we can grab it and keep going.show more

We are entering an extremely exciting era for open-weight... models. Kimi K2.6 now feels like a top agentic model. I took it for a spin via Fireworks AI fast inference APIs. Kimi K2.6 has impressive agentic capabilities, design skills, and the ability to synthesize large amounts of information. I built a little Skill that produces survey papers on any AI research topic you want. (see example in the clip) You can use the skill to tell your agent to generate a survey on whatever topic and watch it go to work. The artifact was fully generated by Kimi.ai's Kimi K2.6. It's cheap and fast. Next step for me is to explore ways to continue integrating the capabilities of these models on use cases like automating my LLM knowledge bases and augmenting my agent memory capabilities. Stay tuned for more.show more
