Proof that you don't need Ray Tracing and Path Tracing to make a Game look beautiful. Kingdom Come Deliverance II has none of these techniques being used, it only uses a global illumination technique called voxel cone tracing As a result KCD2 runs and looks amazing on PC.

In kitchen scene in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, there was no CGI. Michel Gondry used a technique called “forced perspective”. It uses set design and camera angles to create the illusion that objects are larger or smaller than they actually are.

Check this out! Wild example of how steel in masonry is a terrible idea. It's crazy because we can build skyscrapers and shockingly complex structures...but can't even build a garden wall that can last 30 years. And the sad part? ZERO reason to put steel in here like this. #masonry #constructionfailure

I've never seen this technique before. It’s gorgeous! It's called tambour (or Luneville) embroidery and uses a tiny hook instead of a needle to create super fast chain-stitch work. It started in 18th‑century France, and later became a foundation technique for Haute Couture houses like Chanel and Dior. Here’s Alexandrina Dordea showing us this wonderful craft.

Got Claude to lay a Roman mosaic piece by piece, and it looks real! It starts with the eye, 9 tiles for the pupil and a ring of gold, then 7,446 tiles later there's a whole duck. All code in the browser, no image or video model.

This is the Meltio Engine, a 3D printer that creates metal parts with high precision. It uses laser-based technology with wire and powder together to build complex parts layer by layer. It is faster than traditional methods and can also repair or upgrade existing metal parts.

Merry Christmas! 🎄 We have a special gift to Super !Boring supporters… a new skin, Bricks! I had a lot of fun with this one. I don't know the first thing I ever built, but I’m pretty certain it was built with these little colorful toy bricks that showed up one Christmas morning. With Bricks, we wanted to honor Builders. From our earliest moments, these toy bricks taught us one of life's most pivotal lessons—that despite how it looks, the world around us is not fixed. It was built by others just like us. And those who learn to build, have the power to pick apart the pieces and build them into something better & more beautiful. Bricks is available now in !Weather for all Super !Boring members. Cheers!

Mainstream archaeology attributes these vertically stacked adobe bricks to standard Lima culture practices around 500 AD. It seems highly convenient that a civilization supposedly just experimenting with mud somehow perfected a seismic dampening technique mimicking modern engineering. The uniformity across these massive walls looks almost industrial.

Allonic, a Hungarian robotics startup is developing humanoid robot bodies using a proprietary 3D Tissue Braiding system that weaves high-strength fibers, elastic tendons, wiring and sensors around a minimal internal skeleton, mimicking how human connective tissue wraps around bones. The approach enables complex, dexterous structures that are lightweight, strong and compliant, while drastically reducing manufacturing time and cost compared with traditional rigid assembly.
