Proof that you don't need Ray Tracing and Path Tracing to make a Game look beautiful. Kingdom Come Deliverance II has none of these techniques being used, it only uses a global illumination technique called voxel cone tracing As a result KCD2 runs and looks amazing on PC.

Yeah the whole time I’m playing this game I keep thinking to myself why on earth am I sacrificing 2/3 of my frame rate for RT in other titles lol

Looks like oblivion dead ass

the twitter compression ruined it

New is better Together with @mgpstudios we present you... 🟥 NECKBREAK 🟥 Stylish, #cyberpunk, #retro first-person shooter is available now! 🔥 Play it on ⤵️ #NintendoSwitch => #Xbox => #indiegames #release

So ray tracing promises to make development easier. That’s really the best part about it. You don’t have to worry about many of the normal things you do with lighting complex environments

If anything, it proves that we need pathtracing to make games look better. KCD2 sometimes look like oblivion. Indiana Jones in comparison looks like a game released for a completely different generation of hardware. That said the game is fantastic and i just can't stop playing it

agree but it is a little easier to make that look in medieval seeting than for example in nowaday City.

CryEngine > Unreal Engine

The non-rtx game kicking every other RTX game with stunning visuals and gameplay in RTX era. Holy grail this one! 👌👌👌🫡 Huge respect for @WarhorseStudios and the dev team ❤️

Doesn't CryEngine use svogi in this game? That's kinda like RT right? I mean the game runs good, that's what matters. Some games actually use RT right like DOOM. But the Usual UE5 RT is always terrible, mostly because UE5 is terrible 😂

What mod to make the game less boring ?
