🚨 Death due to overcrowding in a General Coach? A video reportedly shows a passenger who lost his life after traveling in an extremely overcrowded train coach. If even one life is lost because passengers are forced to travel in such conditions, this is no longer a crowding issue—it's... a public safety crisis. Millions of migrant workers rely on trains to reach their workplaces and homes, yet many are packed into coaches far beyond capacity. Ministry of Railways should urgently identify high-density migrant labour corridors and increase the number and frequency of Amrit Bharat Express trains on these routes. No Indian should have to risk their life just to travel. Share if you believe safe travel is a basic right, not a privilege. #IndianRailwaysshow more

🚨 Tragedy On-board Vivek Express A disturbing video has surfaced showing a passenger who reportedly died aboard the 22504 Dibrugarh–Kanniyakumari Vivek Express. While the exact cause of death remains unknown, the coach appears severely overcrowded, raising serious questions about passenger safety and emergency medical response on long-distance trains. When thousands travel for 3–4 days in packed coaches, every minute counts during a medical emergency. Indian Railways must urgently strengthen onboard medical preparedness, improve emergency response systems, and address chronic overcrowding. No passenger should lose their life without timely medical assistance. #IndianRailways #VivekExpress

Many Mumbaikars have been conditioned to accept overcrowded local trains in the name of the "Spirit of Mumbai." Millions travel in overcrowded local trains every day, packed so tightly that basic dignity and safety disappear. What should be seen as a serious infrastructure failure is often celebrated as resilience.

Welcome to the “New India” of Indian Railways 🚂 Where ministers dream of bullet trains and luxury Vande Bharat photoshoots, but the common man is forced to travel sitting beside filthy train toilets because there’s no space left inside the coaches. This is not “development.” This is humiliation of ordinary passengers. People buy confirmed tickets, pay taxes, stand in endless queues, and still end up suffocating near washrooms like cattle. Overcrowding has become so normal that human dignity no longer matters to the system. Before spending thousands of crores on PR campaigns and VIP projects, fix the basic reality of Indian trains: • Overcrowded coaches • Unsafe travel • Poor sanitation • No accountability A country cannot become “world class” while its citizens are travelling inside toilets. 🚨

There is no difference between a premium train and a local bus when some passengers think the entire coach belongs to them. Shouting, loud conversations, videos without earphones, and complete disregard for fellow passengers have become far too common. People pay extra for trains like Shatabdi expecting a comfortable and peaceful journey, not endless noise pollution. A train coach is a shared public space, not someone's drawing room. Basic civic sense should not be optional. Indian Railways must start imposing strict penalties on passengers who repeatedly disturb others and ruin the travel experience for everyone. Train: 12018 Dehradun–New Delhi Shatabdi Coach: C2 Ministry of Railways IRCTC RailwaySeva Premium fare should come with premium discipline.

🚨WATCH: This is the condition of India’s longest-running train — 22504 Dibrugarh-Kanniyakumari Vivek Express. ❌ AC not working ❌ No water in AC coach ❌ Passengers reportedly faced these issues for 12+ hours ❌ Situation reportedly became so bad that the train had to be stopped This is not about luxury. Basic facilities like water, functioning AC & proper maintenance are a necessity. Ministry of Railways must ensure that coaches—especially on long-distance trains—are properly maintained and passenger complaints are addressed promptly. Vande Bharat or premium trains may grab headlines, but the condition of ordinary trains matters just as much. Passengers deserve better. 🇮🇳 Reel Link: #IndianRailways #VivekExpress

Dear IRCTC, Dear Ashwini Vaishnaw, Date: 23 May 2026 Time: 5:15 AM Train: Golden Temple (12903) This is not a general coach. This is the condition of a sleeper coach. There was not even enough space to walk to the washroom. People were sleeping on the floor, near the doors, and everywhere possible. The TC came and saw everything, but did not say a single word. It looks like this has become normal for Indian Railways. I have sympathy for these passengers, but if Railways already know that general coach passengers are more, then why not add more general coaches? Why are sleeper coaches being turned into general coaches every day? For years, passengers have been raising the same issue, posting photos and videos, tagging officials, and still nothing changes. Indian Railways talks about modernization and new trains, but what about basic crowd management and passenger safety in normal trains? And please, do not ask me for the PNR. Asking for the PNR will not solve this issue. This is not one passenger’s problem. This is the daily reality of thousands of people.

Train Reservation Vs Gender Reservation ➡Man is travelling on a reserved seat with his family in an overcrowded sleeper coach of the Indian railways . ➡ A Woman is asking him to give his seat to ladies. The logic is that a Man is not suppose to sit when ladies especially old ladies are standing. ➡ The Man has booked his seat in advance while the women are travelling probably on a general ticket which is not authorised for travelling in a sleeper class coach. ➡Many people give their seats to ladies and elderly people in buses and trains but that's their choice and it can not be forced on them. ➡By this logic an able bodied adult Man can never get a seat in any public transport in the country. ➡Morality is a choice not a compulsion .

When Trains Turn Into Bars: Is Anyone Watching? 🍸🚆 Pintu Kumar alongwith a few boys on boarded an AC coach, openly mixing cocktails, making reels, and behaving as if rules don't apply. If this is happening in reserved coaches, what message does it send to genuine passengers who pay for their tickets and expect a safe, peaceful journey? Authorities should identify those involved and take appropriate action. Accountability is the only way to prevent such incidents from becoming the norm. Have you noticed this trend: In the past few years, most new trains introduced by Indian Railways have been either Vande Bharat (premium, short-distance) or Amrit Bharat (non-AC, long-distance for lower fares). But where are the regular long-distance trains? Since COVID, very few new long-distance services have been introduced, and the impact is clearly visible. Getting a confirmed ticket on busy routes has become a nightmare. Instead, we see: • “Special” trains that aren't punctual • Additional halts slowing down existing services • Extensions of current trains instead of introducing new ones This isn’t about opposing Vande Bharat or Amrit Bharat, they serve their purpose well. But what about the millions of long-distance passengers? Most long-distance trains today are running over capacity, yet there’s little focus on expanding services, as a rail enthusiast, it’s hard to even recall a significant number of new long-distance trains added in recent years. It’s high time Ministry of Railways prioritizes new long-distance trains on high-demand routes.

🚨A serious railway safety concern that needs attention. When an ACP (Alarm Chain Pulling) occurs, a Train Manager may have to reach the affected coach to address the situation. But where there is no safe pedestrian path on the bridge, they may be forced to pass underneath the train, putting their own life at risk. 📍 Train Manager: Shri Shivji Rai 🚆 Train No. 54411 | ACP Section: DEE–PTNR 🏢 H/Q: Delhi Sarai Passengers: Please use ACP only in a genuine emergency. Behind every alarm-chain intervention is a railway employee who may have to put their own safety at risk to respond. Railway authorities should provide safe walkways/FOBs or other secure access routes at such locations. #RailwaySafety #IndianRailways #TrainManager

Now extortion has started even inside Third AC coaches and not ₹10 or ₹20, but a straight ₹501. Where are the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and security officials? Has passenger safety been reduced to a joke? First, passengers are buy expensive tickets, and then they are left to face harassment and illegal collections during the journey. Is this what Indian Railways calls a “safe and comfortable” travel experience? Accountability is missing, and passengers are paying the price literally. Ministry of Railways

Passenger: Travels in a Sleeper coach with only a general ticket. TTE: Asks him to either buy a valid Sleeper ticket or shift to the general coach through the connected coaches inside the train. Passenger: Refuses, saying he'll change coaches only after the train stops at the next station and claims it's unsafe to move between coaches while the train is running. He also says he would have to change from the outside. TTE: Clarifies that he is not asking the passenger to get down or move outside the train, but to walk through the connected coaches inside the train. Passenger: Starts recording the exchange and says the railway administration should be held responsible if anything happens during the transfer. why board a Sleeper coach with only a general ticket? Buying a general ticket does not authorize travel in a reserved Sleeper coach, and recording only after being questioned naturally raises debate about whether the focus is safety, rule enforcement, or public sympathy.

This video has been shared on X . The exact date is not known, but it is being reported as from the Bundelkhand Express. The train coach is infested with a large number of cockroaches, causing serious inconvenience and distress to passengers. Such conditions are unacceptable and a direct threat to hygiene and public health. We demand a thorough investigation into this matter, strict punishment for those responsible, and immediate cancellation of the vendor’s licence. Passengers deserve dignity, cleanliness, and safety not negligence and excuses. Ministry of Railways

I prefer traveling in Third AC now , and not because of comfort, but because of safety concerns. Earlier, such harassment was mostly limited to Sleeper and General coaches, where groups of transgender individuals would often create uncomfortable situations for passengers. But now, the situation has worsened they are entering Third AC coaches as well and troubling people without hesitation. Passengers pay full fare expecting a safe and peaceful journey, not to be left dealing with harassment on their own. It’s the responsibility of Indian Railways to ensure proper security across all classes, not leave travelers at the mercy of such situations. Safety and dignity during travel shouldn’t be a luxury it’s a basic right.

First time in Indian Railways: 2 Vande Bharat services have been officially discontinued due to low occupancy. In a first for Indian Railways, the Udaipur-Agra Cantt and Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat trains have been withdrawn due to poor patronage. The same rake will now be redeployed as the Udaipur-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat, which is expected to be flagged off soon. I feel this is a great step to utilise resources efficiently. Vande Bharat trains that are running with low occupancy should be discontinued, and the rakes should be tested on alternate routes. What’s your take? #IndianRailways

Stories of children dying due to open manholes are heartbreaking and unacceptable but unfortunately they are common in many Pakistani cities. In Lahore, on Sept 18, a young girl lost her life after falling into an open manhole in a private housing society on Raiwind Road. On 8th March 2025, a similar tragedy occurred in Patoki. We must ensure every manhole is properly covered. No child should ever lose their life to such criminal negligence.

The FAA's "Save a Life, Not a Bag" campaign is an important step, but it's clearly not enough. Passengers must understand that when they choose to fly, they are responsible for knowing and following the safety rules of air travel. Anyone who ignores crew instructions and retrieves their carry-on baggage during an evacuation should face hefty fines or even be placed on the no-fly list.
