The PC Engine was so expensive in the late ’80s and early ’90s that it was hard to find even in the homes of well-off friends. On top of that, it had one of the first CD-ROM add-ons, which made it feel incredibly high-tech at the time. Because of its larger storage capacity, many arcade games were ported to it, and the CD-quality audio was absolutely amazing. The real issue, though, was the price. You had to buy everything separately—the PC Engine itself, the CD interface (docking unit), the CD-ROM drive, the system card, and the game CDs.

Yes. I recently "resurrected" my cat PS1 game and even ported it on PC too. I want to do a lot more work on it soon and make some real levels/places for it. Here it is running in 60 FPS natively on PC, but still being a PS1 game at heart... :D

I think a lot of people were introduced to Final Fantasy starting from 7. Since it was released on the PlayStation and became a huge global success, it naturally gained widespread recognition. But among older players, many still remember just how popular 6 was when it came out on the Super Famicom. Personally, Chrono Trigger was an incredible game as well, but compared to the impact that Final Fantasy 6 had on me, it felt slightly less overwhelming. Especially when I listen to that opening theme, I still get chills to this day.

After SNK went bankrupt in 2001, many of its developers moved to Sega Sammy-related companies. One of the games created by that talent on the Atomiswave platform was Dolphin Blue. One of the biggest differences from Metal Slug is its combination of 2D characters and 3D backgrounds, which blend together surprisingly well without feeling out of place. As for the soundtrack, this might just be my impression, but it feels like it borrowed a lot of the spirit of Metal Slug. Unlike Metal Slug, Dolphin Blue has a much brighter and more cheerful atmosphere, and the music fits the game perfectly. The gameplay is fast-paced and fun, but after a short while the difficulty spikes dramatically, and there are quite a few sections where the game slows down, which can hurt the overall experience. 🦊 i also went to LA and did practiced the choreography with sienna 🦊 i really loved the draft when i got it 🦊 as expected from sienna, it was so nice to go and learn it in person again, getting all the details down 🦊 i learnt a lot and it was a really good time 🦊 the choreography came out really well 🦊 a lot of people are mistaken but sienna was the one who made the ‘ggum’ choreography, people think other people, other teams made it but sienna was the one who made the ‘ggum’ choreography too 🦊 so i fully trusted her with it and the choreography came out really well, you’ll like it a lot

When I heard Daytona USA was coming to the Sega Saturn, I sold all my other consoles and saved up for it. Finally got the Saturn and Daytona running at home—total mind-blow 🤯. Sure, it wasn’t quite arcade-perfect, but just being able to play it at home was enough. By the time Dreamcast came around, the port was almost flawless. Fun fact: Saturn was almost done as a 2D machine, but after seeing PlayStation’s 3D power, Sega tweaked it late—3D performance ended up a bit lacking. Irony is, the same Sega that pioneered 3D with Virtua Racing and Virtua Fighter thought consoles weren’t ready yet.

Well, I *was* having fun with my first 2011 🤣 Tonight after a couple mags it failed to go fully into battery, so I pushed it forward and fired the chambered round (perhaps that was an error, though it was a pretty gentle push I didn't need to force it or anything). Now it's totally locked up, not sure what to do but maybe one of you knows. It only has about 300 rounds through it, and cleaned and oiled it after the first 100. I know it has a bit of a break-in period, though this was my first issue with it. But it's a pretty big issue! I could try and really force it open but I dont want to break it.
