Eleven weeks after Raila Odinga passed, it’s time to stop pretending. We can mourn him yes, the man is gone but mourning doesn’t mean lying about the path he chose. Raila Odinga’s life was never defined by hatred — it was defined by forgiveness, resilience, and an unshakable belief that Kenya can heal, no matter how deep the wounds run. The best man is the groom’s brother. In his speech he describes how hard it was for him to do so because even though they lived together, they drifted apart and he didn’t know his brother as well as others. During his whole speech, after almost every sentence he makes, the crowd erupts in laughter, you can tell he was uncomfortable, it made him feel like he was doing something wrong. He was trying to reconnect with his brother and offer his support and yet was laughed at the whole time. Do you think the groom chose him as a joke because he was made to?

The value proposition for Gachagua for me, from an ODM perspective, is that he is taking away votes that helped beat us in 2022. For as long as he is taking away votes from Ruto, I don’t care where he takes them; he is not giving William Ruto. If Raila Odinga were to get the exact same number of votes that he got in 2022 in 2027 and William Ruto loses Mt Kenya, Raila will be President. Walmart always asks to check your receipts if they see items not in bags as it could be an indication they weren’t paid for, but many of the time it’s the simple fact they don’t have bags big enough for the items. So when this man tried to leave with a few large items in his cart, they asked to see his receipt, which he refused. They threaten to call the police and follow him into the parking lot and continue to harass him. Did he do this on purpose to make a scene because he actually didn’t pay for everything or do you feel he’s right when he says they are accusing him of stealing?
