🚨 AMERICA JUST BUILT THE WORLD’S MOST POWERFUL METAL 3D PRINTER AND IT’S ABOUT TO MASS-PRODUCE ROCKETS AND MISSILES. Divergent Technologies has unveiled the Monolith One, a giant industrial metal printer standing over 8 meters tall and armed with 12 high-powered lasers delivering a combined 24 kilowatts of energy. Unlike typical 3D printers used for prototypes, this machine is built for serious, high-volume production. It can print large, complex aerospace and defense parts in aluminum, titanium, steel, and nickel alloys and it roughly doubles the output of current systems. Why this matters: • Divergent plans to install 64 more of these machines in a massive new 430,000 sq ft factory in Long Beach, California • Once running, the facility aims to produce tens of thousands of munition airframes per year plus hundreds of thousands of critical metal components • It slashes manufacturing time from months down to weeks or even days • The company already supplies major players like Lockheed Martin and RTX The deeper implication: This isn’t just another 3D printer. It represents a shift toward software-defined, on-demand manufacturing at industrial scale for mission-critical hardware. As defense and aerospace demand skyrockets, traditional supply chains are too slow. Systems like Monolith One could become a cornerstone of faster, more resilient domestic production especially for complex structures that are difficult or impossible to make conventionally. We’re watching the industrialization of additive manufacturing in real time. How do you think large-scale 3D printing will change aerospace and defense manufacturing over the next decade? Follow for more frontier manufacturing and defense technology.

🚨 BMW HAS SOLVED ONE OF HYDROGEN’S BIGGEST PACKAGING PROBLEMS. The company has developed a new “Hydrogen Flat Storage” system for the iX5 that uses seven slim hydrogen tanks instead of two large ones. This flat design fits into the same space as the high-voltage battery pack used in the electric iX5. This is significant because it allows BMW to build the hydrogen-powered iX5 on the same production line as petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric versions without major changes to the factory or vehicle architecture. The system stores 7kg of hydrogen at 700 bar and gives the iX5 an estimated range of 385 miles. BMW plans to start series production of the iX5 Hydrogen in 2028, using a fuel cell developed in partnership with Toyota. Why this matters: • One of the biggest barriers to hydrogen vehicles has been packaging the tanks without sacrificing interior space or requiring completely separate production lines • This modular “flat storage” approach makes hydrogen powertrains much more practical to manufacture at scale • It gives BMW flexibility to produce multiple powertrains on one platform depending on demand and regional infrastructure The deeper implication: While battery electric vehicles currently dominate, BMW is continuing to develop hydrogen as a parallel technology, particularly for larger vehicles and longer-range applications. Being able to build both BEVs and FCEVs on the same line is a pragmatic engineering step that could make hydrogen vehicles more commercially viable in the future if the refuelling infrastructure catches up. HAPPENING NOW: Secretary of War Pete Hegseth just arrived at Castelion to meet with the company’s founders as part of the Department of War 🇺🇸’s Arsenal Freedom Tour. Castelion Corporation is a U.S. defense technology startup founded in late 2022 by former SpaceX engineers, including CEO Bryon Hargis, Sean Pitt, and Andrew Kreitz. The company specializes in designing, testing, and manufacturing affordable, mass-producible hypersonic strike missiles to restore America's conventional deterrence capabilities, particularly against adversaries like China and Russia in hypersonic weapons. Their flagship product is the Blackbeard hypersonic missile system, engineered for high-volume production (thousands per year), lower costs (potentially 10x cheaper than comparable legacy systems), rapid development cycles (months instead of years), and compatibility with existing U.S. military platforms like HIMARS for the Army and various Navy systems. Castelion employs a SpaceX-inspired approach: vertical integration, rapid iteration, high-cadence testing (over 25 flight tests by late 2025), and scalable manufacturing using nontraditional suppliers to cut costs and speed. Castelion is Headquartered in Torrance, California, with facilities in Texas and a major new 1,000-acre solid rocket motor campus in Sandoval County, New Mexico called Project Ranger. The company has secured significant funding, including a $350 million Series B round in December 2025 following earlier rounds, to ramp up production. It has won multiple Department of War 🇺🇸 contracts, including integration awards with the U.S. Army and Navy, SBIR phases, and AFWERX programs for hypersonic development. Castelion aims to address the U.S. lag in hypersonic munitions by focusing on scale and affordability rather than boutique, high-end designs from traditional suppliers like Lockheed Martin Lockheed Martin or Raytheon Raytheon. Upon Pete Hegseth’s arrival, a large screen in the Castelion lobby lit up with a message that read “Welcome Secretary of War Pete Hegseth” and “Arsenal of Freedom” with a video of a missile launch.

‼️🇷🇺🇮🇳 BIG | Moscow has recently engineered a bizarre economic scheme: a nation that boasts some of the world's largest oil reserves and production capacities is now forced to export its raw crude at steep discounts, only to buy it back as refined gasoline and diesel from the very same buyers. This desperate move aims to stabilize a severe domestic fuel crisis triggered by precise Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refineries. To facilitate this arrangement, Russia has nearly doubled its discounts on Urals crude for India, pushing the price deduction from $4 to approximately $7 per barrel. This shift is directly tied to Moscow's urgent need to purchase finished fuel from Indian refiners. As a result, Indian refineries find themselves in a highly lucrative position: they import dirt-cheap Russian raw material, process it, and sell the finished product back to Moscow at a premium. According to data from Reuters, at least 60,000 tons of fuel have already been shipped from India to Russia under this framework. To mitigate the paralysis of its own refining infrastructure, the Kremlin is hoping to secure up to 400,000 tons of gasoline imports monthly. Beyond India, Moscow is leaning heavily on neighbors and allies like Belarus and Kazakhstan to patch the holes in its domestic market and prevent widespread supply shortages. The irony of this situation is as profound as it is justified. This entire scheme serves as a textbook example of how military adventures can lead to geopolitical and economic absurdity. Prior to its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia positioned itself as Europe's primary energy guarantor, reaping massive financial rewards. Today, a nation once mockingly—yet accurately—described as "a gas station masquerading as a country" is facing an internal fuel shortage. Furthermore, selling raw materials at a loss and buying back the refined product (while absorbing massive logistical overheads) is economic suicide. Meanwhile, New Delhi is playing the geopolitical field masterfully—refusing to enforce Western sanctions while aggressively capitalizing on Moscow’s desperation to bolster its own economy. Ultimately, this development proves that Ukraine’s targeted asymmetric warfare against Russian energy infrastructure has dealt a far more crippling blow to the Kremlin than many sweeping Western sanctions. Moscow is now burning through its financial reserves just to put out domestic fires, desperate to avert a total market collapse and subsequent civilian unrest. Video is made Grok AI
