@unitygames The CLI and MCP seem complementary rather than interchangeable. MCP gives Claude structured editor access, while the CLI is better for repeatable builds, tests and automation. I think the strongest workflow will have the agent using both and verifying every meaningful change.

GPT-6 is better now😁 Setup got quicker: it's on the Codex marketplace too, one command to hook up. You still install the package with the CLI inside Unity, the simplification is on the agent side. I used Cursor to vibe code a simple fishing game prototype on the Unity Engine. Here's my learnings: - I did not use any Unity MCP for this. The game was built entirely by Cursor models (Sonnet 4.6 for execution and Opus 4.6 for planning) - The model was able to set up the game, getting the basic game mechanics working fairly quickly - I had to use the Unity Game Editor UI to attach components to the in-game objects manually, but it was quite easy to follow the instructions given by the Cursor model - Unity Editor is huge and slow! Compared to Godot, I find the UI really clunky I feel tired looking at it - Unity Assets Marketplace is amazing, there are so many amazing art assets there (like the ones I am using for this game). This is probably the biggest strength of Unity. - I had some issues with restoring checkpoints, probably because of how Unity Game Editor UI being really clunky and I had to manually adjust things in the Editor, which the model doesnt have knowledge of Overall, the results turn out pretty decent, but it was a rather frustrating experience, especially when I had to debug issues or rollback changes. I'll explore more vibe coding on Unity but for now, I think I prefer Godot as a game engine. I just wish there is a Godot Asset Marketplace!

Got introduced to , an AI code assistant specialised for Unity by Julian Park and after dabbling with it for a day, I am really impressed with how good it is for vibe coding on the Unity Game Engine. Bezi early impressions: - Bezi works direcly on Unity with a Plugin, this means that I don't need a Unity MCP - Because Bezi is built for Unity, the success rate of feature implementations is visibly higher than general coding models - It was able to integrate Unity store assets like a Weather system to this game pretty seamlessly - I was able to add a fishing database, lighting and weather systems into this game fairly quickly I'm very impressed with the results with Bezi so far. I feel that vibe coding a full indie game on Unity and releasing it on Steam, Mobile and Web is within reach. This also validates one thing that I have been suspecting: A specialised model designed for a specific use case can perform better than a general model at the particular domain. Very exciting!

🏀 Arcade Hoops is now available on the official Meta Horizon Store! 🚀 This was such a fun test: taking an idea and shipping it to the Meta Horizon Store in exactly 4 weeks. I built it using: - Meta VR CLI - Agentic Tools Repo, full of skills - Claude Code + VS Code - Unity 6 + Unity MCP - Meta XR Core + Meta ISDK + MRUK - OpenAI Image 2.0 for concept generation - Adobe Photoshop for all the store assets 💡Honestly, this project taught me so much about what modern VR/MR development workflows can look like when you combine Unity with our agentic workflows.

Animators, if you want to learn how to edit mocap, this is a great introduction. The workflow and concepts I show can be used in Blender and Maya. Full video on my YT.

💡What if I could fully turn an existing full-scale VR/MR game into a mini tabletop game? Honestly, this just took 6-7 prompts + a few android permission changes to enable hand tracking. The results 🤯 and this used to take me a while because I had to manually resize and adjust everything before I could even make it work. This is exactly why Unity AI and their exposed MCP tools are such a big deal for developers.

Yet my heart was heavy when I heard the accusations that his home had been destroyed through political violence. I speak with conviction: President Mnangagwa does not walk the path of violence. He calls us to unity-unity in spirit, unity in purpose, unity in action. His message is one of peace and progress. And so, in that same spirit, I will rebuild the councilor’s house. Because when a home is torn down, we must raise it again. When division seeks to break us, we must answer with unity. And when fear tries to silence voices of hope, we must respond with courage and compassion. This is the Zimbabwe we believe in-where peace triumphs over conflict, and where unity builds what violence seeks to destroy.

When I saw that Assassin's Creed Unity was getting a 60 FPS update for current gen consoles, I honestly could not wait to see it with my own eyes. And after playing it, I realized it is not just 60 FPS. The game also seems to be upscaled to 4K, which is absolutely insane in my opinion and the game runs incredibly smooth! Many of you know that I have never been the biggest fan of Unity. But I have to admit, maybe it is just placebo, yet it genuinely feels like the game plays better. Almost like the controller responds more precisely to what I actually want to do. I tested it properly in stealth and of course in parkour, and I have to say, it feels amazing! For PC players this might not be anything special. But for someone like me, mainly playing on console, finally being able to experience Assassin’s Creed Unity at 60 FPS is a game changer. And by the way, co op also seems to be working normally again. This is honestly crazy to see!

Tutorial video on how to test face tracking in Unity with face tracking hardware is here! This is probably the question I get asked the most, so I'm happy I finally got a chance to make a tutorial on this. This example demonstrates doing it with a Quest Pro using Virtual Desktop, but it should work with any headset. I've also done it with an iPhone and Bigscreen beyon 2e + Vive face tracker Next one I make will show how to do it without any hardware :D . . . . . Please keep in mind this video is intended for people who are already familiar with Unity and avatar creation or editing.
