It now appears this was a white hat intervention by SecondFi, with around 129.27 million ADA retained to prevent further losses. My tracing analysis was originally based on the assumption that this was the attacker wallet. That was because funds were actively being moved from affected wallets, which looked... like live draining behaviour at the time. If this was an emergency intervention address, that explains a lot of the behaviour we were seeing on chain. A large part of the analysis and visualisation I built was therefore mapping this intervention rather than the final attacker flow. I still think the tooling and visual view have value, because they show how the movement of funds looked in real time and help explain why the initial conclusion was reasonable based on available evidence. I welcome this development and hope every impacted individual is reimbursed properly and transparently.show more

How did they white hat it though? Thats what seems odd. Did they have access to all private keys or seeds? Some unusual behavior that doesn’t line up especially after the conflicting information they gave.

I am happy for the victims, hopefully they can get it sorted out to who gets how much, but somehow I feel like Cardano has lost its edge. Emurgo screwed up so badly on this. Feels like we are just now like all the rest but with less liquidity

Curious about the idea of “affected” wallets. Is there anyway to ascertain what constitutes an “affected wallet” Is it all Yoroi instances, all that were auto migrated to SecondFi, or something else 🤷🏻 What is white-hat selection criteria 🤔

Do you maybe know how one can proove he was the owner of certain wallet? I'm guessing that private key generation wasn't random (or keys were logged or smth), so someone else can get those private keys. So how can they know who the original owner was?

Jackson explains how he landed the role of Jules in Pulp Fiction, and what it was like seeing the film for the first time on the big screen: “Pulp Fiction and I came together in a very strange kind of way. I remember auditioning for Quentin for Reservoir Dogs in New York (for the role of of Detective Jim Holdaway, Mr. Orange’s police contact). And apparently I didn't get that role. You’ve been really pressed on my original post but lets talk about it. I didn’t just make up the notion that Peggy was based on Cynthia glass. This has been discussed by Jewish commentators for over a decade. They actively uplifted a character who was based off if a Nasi rather than uplift a black character. This is not a misogynist view point. This was actively sitting down and listening to the takes of Jewish people and looking at the evidence. You cannot deny that since endgame, Peggy has had more appearances and more support at the “Captain” based character than Sam. It’s been appalling and stacks on top of the active sabotage of Sam as a character.

👤i thought that story was really cute…that you kissed each other to catch the flu 👤 this really feels like ‘divorce camp’ (*tv show); how did this come about? 🐰 it was probably right before the debut line up was decided, right? 🦊 yeah 🐰 it was the end of the year and it was a hard time for all the trainees…nobody could sleep or eat…and the flu was really going around at the time so a couple of people got to sit out of it…yeonjun hyung was one of them and i really wanted to sit out of it too because it means you can rest so as a joke, i rubbed against hyung and was like “hyung~ pass your flu onto me~” but the next day, i was shedding tears of blood because i was so sick 👤🤣 “shedding tears of blood” 🐰 it was the first time i got that sick, my body hurt so much, it felt like it would shatter….but the other members…something that made me feel really unfair was that if the other members were like “i feel like i caught the flu”, the dance teacher would be “okay okay, go home and rest” but starting from me, they started stopping us like “leave after you do this! finish this and then go!”…after the dance lesson, i looked like i was about to die so the dance teacher was like “this is not it, you should go home too” so on my way back to the dorm, i was sobbing like crazy because i was so sad like “why didn’t they let me sit it out 😭” because i was so sick…! 👤 so did it pass on to you when you were like “hyung, pass it onto me~” 🐰 probably..i wasn’t in contact with anyone else that got it and i was only like that with yeonjun hyung so i think it probably passed on then

I think it’s safe to say that 2025 was a very interesting year. And I think I see it very differently than most. You probably saw a lot of headlines about AI and tech stocks. While that was a big story, I don’t think it was the most important thing. The big story in the investment world was the depreciation of the value of fiat money and how that impacted the price of gold. That’s how 2025 looked through my eyes, at least. I’m curious to hear if you see things the same way.

I think it’s safe to say that 2025 was a very interesting year. And I think I see it very differently than most. You probably saw a lot of headlines about AI and tech stocks. matthew's thoughts about zb1's last concert as 9... 🦊 how was it during makcon (encore con d3)? it was fascinating really... i... on the 2nd day it felt like everything hit me at once, like "wah... this is really the last concert" so i was really sad on the 2nd day and on the last day i was sad but it was kinda... i looked at this (view on stage/overall surroundings?) for the last time and just took in the beauty of it. i was so thankful and i think i kinda just looked at it prettily “one last time”

Pi was built when there were already agent harnesses around. Here’s why Mario Zechner(Mario Zechner), found them suboptimal and built Pi, a minimalist self-modifying agent: #1 - Mario initially was a believer in Claude Code: "I was a believer in Claude code because they were the first that packaged agentic search up in a really compelling package. And at the time that fit my workflow really well. Everything around the LLM was kind of nice and tidy and easy to understand. I was super happy. I was proselytising Claude code." #2 - Reverse engineering Claude Code highlighted the degradation that Mario felt as a user: "I personally like simple tools that are stable and that I can rely on. Even if they have non-deterministic parts, all the deterministic parts should be as stable as possible. That was just not the experience with Claude Code around summer 2025. They would take away your control of the context. They would inject stuff behind your back, which is bad. Then, your workflows stopped working because there's now a system reminder that you don't even see in the UI that would modify the behaviour of the model. They would also do this to the system prompt. I built a little service where I can track the progression or evolution of the system, prompt and tool definitions and, with every release, it was messing with stuff. That just messed with my workflows and I don't appreciate that." #3 - PI was built with an appreciation for simple and reliable tools: "If I commit to a development tool, I want it to be a stable, reliable thing like a hammer. I don't want my hammer to break a different spot every day. That's terrible. We need somebody who goes the full velocity kind of way. But I don't want to work with a tool like that."
