Linebackers have to communicate with each other when they see a puller, screaming “pull, pull, pull!”. The linebacker to the side of the pulling guard has to shuffle over the top staying inside out of the ball carrier. The other linebacker away from the pulling guard has to either box or spill the puller to the other linebacker depending on their defensive scheme. In this video they are boxing the puller back to the other linebacker. It is very important for the linebacker shuffling over the top to keep his depth and not stepping up field. Offensive lineman wants you to step up field so they can cut you off and make a running lane for the running back. #LBU
