This channel and its anchor seem to have run out of issues. Three days a week, the same evening debate: SC/ST Act and reservation, with five people sitting in the studio and repeating the same arguments. And the same few “permanent” faces keep appearing—Anand Ranganathan, Neha Das and others. @neha_laldas , show me one post where you have seriously discussed casteism as a social problem, or any other major issue affecting ordinary Indians, with the same consistency you show when talking about SC/ST Act and reservation. Your public posts are overwhelmingly focused on reservation, the SC/ST Act and alleged “misuse.” If you believe misuse of the SC/ST Act is a serious issue, then apply the same principle consistently. Misuse or false cases can happen under any law, including laws meant to protect women. Why is there so little outrage from you on that? The problem is not discussing misuse. The problem is turning one subject into a permanent source of outrage and repeatedly presenting it as if it is the only issue this country has. And when people are encouraged to take their anger to the streets, ordinary supporters are often the ones who face police action and legal consequences. Those who provoke from behind screens should also take responsibility for what happens on the ground. Debate the law. Criticise genuine misuse. But stop using selective outrage to create more social division.
