@roypranesh When Judiciary wants to protect itself it will do everything and more . Supreme Court struck down National Judicial Appointments Commission (NJAC) Act and the 99th Constitutional Amendment in October 2015 by ruling that it violated the "basic structure" of the Constitution.

@roypranesh Sorry but what modi did with SC/ST act is no where comparable to Shah bano case. Rajeev Gandhi was clever enough to leave the loophole, that was used by judiciary in Daniel Latif case. Muslim women are eligible for maintenance but that should be paid single time for life
