I'm 8 minutes into a 'documentary' on Netlfix called "What the Health" where the documentary film maker is interviewing a doctor who says the following: Kip the documentary filmmaker: "What role does sugar play in causing diabetes? Dr. Neal Barnard, M.D.: "Driving me crazy. Diabetes is not and never was caused by eating a high carbohydrate diet, and it's not caused by eating sugar. The causes of diabetes is a diet that builds up the amount of **fat** into the blood. I'm talking about a typical meat-based, animal-based diet."
