Nancy Guthrie What gets overlooked in the Nancy Guthrie case is there is still a man capable of abducting, and likely killing an 84 YO. The Catalina Foothills are not safe, IMO until he is found. Further, although she was targeted (picked as a victim above others) doesn't mean... the same kidnappers for ransom won't target another rich person. After all 2 kidnappings for ransom in 2 days in the same area should be statistically concerning. Wrench by Proxy or a kidnapping by someone who had ties? We know the motive was money. We don't know whether this was a sophisticated plot or a low level quasi-insider who got the lead. Either way, there is a serious predator on the loose! You are definitely right when you see that town & surrounding areas is not a safe place to be. There is a killer on the loose. People should be focusing on that. I do believe it was somebody with inside family knowledge. This certainly wasn't porch guys first rodeo.

Very True Jennifer! We are caught up in the fact that Nancy’s daughter is famous and it must be for big $ ransom. However the perpetrator/s are bold and armed. They are out there & will strike again! Lock doors & windows and be vigilant! #findNancy

Nancy Guthrie If you are following this story, you may want to watch the whole "Savannah goes Home" segment. (Linked below) With her family ruled out as suspects, who is in? I believe someone from Tuscon who crossed paths with Savannah is likely. I believe BAU has drawn up a profile of the abductor and is fasioning words to appeal to him based on the abductor's profile. Is it someone angry, like Bryan Kohberger was angry but not angry because he was a sadistic Loser, serial killer in making, but rather is Porch Guy angry because he feels slighted and wants Savannah to pay. Is this why Savannah is doing the pleas solo? Because they believe she is the target? This abduction never was about ransom money. With the family ruled out, we know the motive was not life insurance/ inheritance. We are down to the motive being far more twisted. We know about the "Talk to her and you will see" reference. What about, "It's never too late. You are not lost or alone." Does BAU believe this is a loner and a messed up type of individual, deeply unhappy with who he is and deeply jealous of Savannah? Someone capable of extreme violence, but hurting inside? I think we will be shocked at what we will come to know. What happened in that house between Porch Guy and Nancy for up to 41 minutes? Was the DNA found inside blood, hair, semen, sweat or touch? The motive of the ransom notes seems to be torturing Savannah as does the motive in the abduction. Could they be connected in this way?

I have been involved in 3 kidnapping cases in 28 years. The demands came right away, not after 3 days. This note was fashioned by BAU, no doubt. Try to establish some empathy for the hostage. Open lines of communications. Indicate you are ready to negotiate. All of that was done. It still makes no sense that after 3 days and after LE is so involved that a ransom demand would come now. Normally, contact would have been made with the family right after the abduction and before LE was contacted. This case is rubbing against my experience and does not meet with other kidnapping cases I was involved with or studied. Again, if this is a hoax, it is the cruelest hoax I have seen. A man who says he was the person of interest being questioned in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie has been released. The man, who only wants to be identified as Carlos, said he was detained after a traffic stop. Carlos said he was shocked when he was pulled over and didn't know who Guthrie is. "I'm innocent," he said, adding that he hopes the suspect is found soon so his name could be cleared. Authorities haven't confirmed that Carlos was the person of interest or that the person of interest has been released. CBS News has reached out to the Pima County Sheriff's Department and the FBI about Carlos.

GEORGE ZINN'S DEVICE SOLVED The "device" was actually a waterproof iPhone pouch. And he had TWO of them: 1. Why did he need two pouches? Did he have a 2nd device we don't know about? For what? 2. Why did he need WATERPROOF pouches on a sunny day in the middle of the desert in the summer? Did he bring waterproof holders just in case—knowing ahead of time he was supposed to position himself by the water fountain on purpose? Is this a nothing-burger, or is there more going on here?

GEORGE ZINN'S DEVICE SOLVED The "device" was actually a waterproof iPhone pouch. And he had TWO of them: 1. Why did he need two pouches? Did he have a 2nd device we don't know about? For what? 2. Why did he need WATERPROOF pouches on a sunny day in the middle of the desert in the summer? Did he bring waterproof holders just in case—knowing ahead of time he was supposed to position himself by the water fountain on purpose? Is this a nothing-burger, or is there more going on here?

Update Nancy Guthrie Of course the Sheriff is emotional. *Drips of blood outside Nancy's home *Pacemaker lost sync at 2 AM *Cell phone and car left (purse and wallet reported left as well although I have not heard police confirm) *He mentioned he did not think a ransom case, or words to that effect *He said she was taken This case is heartbreaking. Who wanted her or was this completely random? Digging... Don't blame the sheriff for his emotion. It shows his passion and concern. He's been here and knows the pain for the families. Holding out the smallest glimmer of hope that she is found alive, like the sheriff, but unlikely. #NancyGuthrie
