new codex app first impressions! - pros: reliably coding in swift 🤍, a nice UI for kicking off concurrent threads/alerts, clearly there is a lot to unpack across automations/skills - asks: would love to see more killer use cases for automations, perhaps broken down by product type (iOS, web,... electron); had some wrangling on chat context & a feature I expected to be more straightforward overall: I am bought in that a clean/beautiful UI for coordinating many agents (some with long running tasks) is powerful; I sense there's a lot more to unlock with time. I still want the ability to quickly switch between codex and claude code, as they seem to excel in different (+ complementary) dev tasksshow more

I am hooked on Dynamic Workflows! The idea of generating harnesses on the fly is so compelling that I reverse-engineered it for my agent orchestrator. And then I built a monitoring dashboard (as an HTML artifact) to track tasks, metrics, and reports. I can now use and monitor dynamic workflows in my agent orchestrator with coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Pi, and even my own custom-built DAIR.AI agent. This is clearly the future of working with agents to accomplish complex, long-running tasks. Some use cases I'm having success with: - Branching deep research tasks (with verification) - Parallel deep research tasks - Session mining of all my agent sessions - Bug hunting - Triaging - Fact-checking - LLM councils - AI simulations - Data synthesis - Evals generation ... and many others Dynamic workflows, like agent skills, feel like an important primitive to not only get the most out of agents but also incorporate dynamic behaviors and important components like cooperation and verification. There is so much exploration ground here. The exciting part is that this is not limited to coding tasks; it extends to business use cases and many other technical domains like science and research.

Clawdbot creator, Peter Steinberger says Opus is the best model overall, but Codex is his go-to for coding. He trusts Codex to handle big codebases with almost no mistakes. It’s more reliable and needs less handholding, which makes him faster. Claude Code can work too, but it requires more effort and tricks. For serious tasks, Codex feels like a dependable coworker.

Such Agents change our role as engineers from Conductor (directing one agent at a time) to Orchestrator (defining tasks for a "fleet" of agents working in parallel), for very well-defined tasks with human review. GitHub's Copilot Agent, as covered at #githubuniverse, is one such example I've been trying and liking. There are a number of options also worth considering, including Jules (also great!), Codex web by OpenAI Developers, and Anthropic's Claude Code for web. Editors like Cursor are also exploring this with some very interesting UX ideas. For the more advanced, orchestrators like Claude Squad, Magnet and Conductor by (nice balance on the engineering/product spectrum) are certainly worth considering. Some caveats: Orchestration has been working well for me in small-medium sized projects: for fixing UI bugs, adding small features etc. This can be good for tackling migrations, upgrading dependencies etc. Enterprise teams are very much still figuring out their "Conductor" patterns but eventually, I do see more orchestration becoming a standard part of the engineering workflow.

For the last two weeks I've been working on a Computer Use skill to work with Linux. And while I had some success, it was a pretty frustrating experience. That is...until the breakthrough. Using accessibility tools, Codex can now control my entire computer, not just the browser. There are limits to this, of course, but what a time to be alive. I've been spending more time with Bezi to see how far I can push vibe coding a game on the Unity Editor. So far, I'm pretty happy with what I can achieve with Bezi. Here are some learnings: - Even though I use Bezi to do all agentic coding, I still have to perform a few small manual tasks in the Unity Editor - As a result, I feel like I am getting a hang of Unity's complex and clunky UI, which actually feels good! - This is one of those examples where Vibe Coding is a great way to learn game dev. - For big features, I can't state the importance of asking the agent to create a plan first before implementing the feature. It can work wonders. Most of the bigger features/ssytems starts with a clear plan. - The biggest strength about working with Unity Engine is the Unity Asset Store, there's so much good stuff in there, 3D assets, shaders, vfx etc that can really spice up your game, that other game enginers will need to build from scratch. - Because Unity Assets Stores sell UI assets packs, I was able to implement decent looking UI fairly quickly. For those of you that vibe code games, you know how much of a pain it is to implement UI. - I did meet a few hiccups along the way where Bezi seems to struggle a little with implementing some features, but usually with some retries it works out at the end, though it burns a ton of tokens. After spending more time with Bezi, I'm still feeling good about using it. I am able to get this PvZ style autobattler working in a few days!

After creating Remodex: Codex remote control for iOS I decided to chill a bit by building a browser sidebar inside Theo - t3.gg 's T3 Code You can open it with Cmd+Shift+B This software is so easy to "manipulate" and build upon Congrats to all the guys that put the work in it because it is great I certainly will be building more things with it For this one I decided to switch from the Codex App to the Codex CLI too just to see how it works And boy it was so good
