Another one of my controversial fitness opinions is that I think all the squat variations where the weight is in front of you are superior. More athletic carryover, less chance of injury, overall more ergonomic positioning. There’s nothing I like better than heavy sandbag squats.

They said you need carbs for performance. They said you need carbs for muscle. They said you need carbs for a pump. They said you need to be hungry to get lean and lose weight. Why do I stay Carnivore? Because I realized I none of that is true. 3 weeks after the conclusion of my 4k SAD experiment I weighed in at the lowest weight I've been in over a year. 15lbs below my peak weight when I started my 4k Carnivore experiment. No issues with performance. No issues with muscle. No issues with a pump. No issues being hungry...ever. I think I'll stay Carnivore.

Here’s a killer At-Home Lowerbody workout 💥 For warmup, start with 3 sets of walking lunges and then proceed to 2 sets of body weight goblet squats. •Working Sets: Goblet squats : 3 sets of 12- 15 reps (for the foot placement if you have access to a weight plate, that’s most preferred. I only had small dumbbells). Jump squats (4 sets of 10 reps) superset straight into, wall-sits (4 sets of 30 second holds). Romanian deadlift (3 sets of 12-15 reps) superset straight into body weight, Good-mornings (3 sets of 15 reps, if you have access to barbells or weight bags you can add weight for maximum intensity) Sumo squat : 3-4 sets of 15 reps. If you have access to a variety of weights, incorporate progressive overload on every exercise by increasing weight with each set up to your heaviest. Also make sure to control your reps on both the concentric and eccentric movement for the utmost strain. For more fitness content check my fitness page on IG

Quad training tips ⬇️ -Pendulum squats, hack squats, barbell squats, smith squats, leg presses are all great choices (pick things that allow you to nail the quads accurately) -Get as deep as you can, closer you can get hamstring to calf with no pain the better. -Don’t be scared to pause in that bottom position when quads are fully lengthened. -Heel elevation via squat shoes/wedge/plate etc for more knee flexion. -Use a comfortable stance for you (try shoulder width with toes pointed out and adjust from there) -Progress your lifts in that 5-20 rep range over time with legit form. -Embrace “the suck” of these sets…you’ll think you’re done and there’s likely another 1/2 reps in the tank. These are the money reps! Big quads are earned by brutally hard work!

Romanian Deadlift, used straps because I was having pain inmy right hand. Straps also let you focus on the main lift and not hand fatigue. To perform a Romanian Deadlift (RDL) correctly, start standing with feet hip-width apart, holding a barbell or dumbbells. Hinge at the hips by pushing your glutes backward while keeping a flat back, slight knee bend, and the weight sliding down your legs. Lower until you feel a deep hamstring stretch. Bulgarian split squats are one of the best single leg strength exercises for runners. Your glutes and quads work together to drive you up while your hip has to stabilize the entire movement. That's something a normal squat or goblet squat won't give you. Setup tip: sit on the bench, place your heels forward. That's where your standing foot goes. Focus points: → Drive straight up and down, not backward → A slight forward lean loads the glutes more (stay upright if you want it quad dominant) → Control the lowering phase. Don't drop into it 3 x 8-10 each side. Have the weight opposite of the standing leg.
