Olushegun ADJADI BAKARI, we reflected on the swift coordination between Nigeria and Benin that helped prevent an unconstitutional attempt to undermine democracy in Benin. We are facing coordinated attacks by criminal gangs who are exploiting ungoverned spaces in the North West and North Central, but the government is not folding its arms. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered intensified operations in the affected corridors, including the deployment of special forces, expansion of intelligence networks, and disruption of the ransom economy that funds these groups. The military and security agencies are already carrying out targeted strikes on identified camps, rescue missions, and blocking movements along major forest routes. I made it clear that the President is fully engaged with state governors, service chiefs, and local security formations to close the security gaps and take back control of vulnerable communities. Nigeria is going through a difficult phase, but the government is responding with urgency, coordination, and a renewed determination to end these attacks and protect every Nigerian life.
