The ZhuQue-3 launch vehicle completed its maiden flight with all primary mission events performed nominally. The first stage flight was normal, stage separation performed as planned, and the fairing jettison and first stage landed precisely within the designated area. The second stage performed normally and achieved the target orbit, marking a complete success of the orbital launch mission. During the first stage recovery system verification test, engines thrust throttling operated normally, attitude control remained stable, and the down range recovery trajectory was nominal. An anomaly occurred as the first stage approached the designated recovery zone. No personnel safety issues occurred. China’s first rocket recovery attempt achieved its expected technical objectives.

Literally shaking! Behind the scenes of a special test 🚀 Earlier this year, Redshift, our third stage, completed a full vibration test campaign in flight configuration! Unlike isolated component checks, this was the real deal: all systems integrated and tested under simulated launch conditions. Because launch is no gentle ride. Everything must endure intense vibrations and still perform flawlessly. The result? Electronic connections remained strong, the systems (including antennas, telemetry, flight computer, navigation systems) stayed up and running, and we obtained valuable data to further refine and improve. Archimedes second stage engine full duration burn - complete ✅ (and what a thing of beauty). The AVac (Archimedes Vacuum) engine produces 1.2x lbf of its Stage 1 variant and stands ~2.5m taller thanks to its extended nozzle optimized for the vacuum conditions of space. Recent AVac testing included a stub skirt for the nozzle. Since full length vacuum nozzles at ground level risk flow separation and instability, stub skirts are used to anchor our engineers' analysis for how the engine will perform with the full nozzle in vacuum conditions - all critical preparation for Neutron's first flight.

Our Relativity Space team proved more in this first launch than most companies (and even countries) ever have in their maiden attempt: ✅ first methane fueled rocket in the West to reach space, well over the 100km Karman Line (only other is China) ✅ first nearly entirely 3D printed rocket to fly and prove 3D printing is viable by passing Max-Q, the max stress on the rocket ✅ first methane orbital-class rocket to successfully complete stage 1 flight, main engine cutoff, and second stage separation in the West (only other is China) ✅ first-ever second stage ignition attempt during the vacuum of flight for a methane fueled orbital rocket in the West, collected first-ever flight data ✅ continuing data reviews, and will bring learnings to our future rocket including Terran R ✅ one really ecstatic launch viewing experience - here, as close as one can get to the launch pad. INTENSE 12 of 10, the reaction makes perfect sense when being there, surreal 🤯

IQBAL: The Technology Demonstrator For KAAN 🇹🇷 🇵🇰 Turkish Aerospace [TAI] at NSTP conducted a successful 6x minute long autonomous maiden flight of its indigenously developed technology demonstrator "IQBAL". IQBAL is the 1:7 dynamically scaled version of KAAN, the Turkish 5th Generation Fighter Platform, IQBAL will serve as a test best for various advanced aerospace technologies, it will also play an instrumental role in evolution of KAAN. IQBAL is an indigenous, twin jet-engine powered Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) consisting of complex onboard avionics systems and instrumentation with an ability to conduct autonomous flights. The design, manufacturing, assembly, & integration of IQBAL encompassing aerodynamic design, structural design, avionics, and control systems was carried out entirely by Turkish Aerospace Pakistan engineers to mimic the dynamic behavior of KAAN. IQBAL generates & logs extensive flight test data which is used for implementing autonomous flight management systems.

South Korea has successfully completed the first fully successful flight test of the KALCM Cheonryong (Korean Air-Launched Cruise Missile), which is expected to become the primary long-range strike weapon of the future KF-21 Boramae multirole fighter. On June 25, the missile was launched for the first time from an FA-50 light combat aircraft. After separation, it successfully ignited its main engine, stabilized its flight, and completed the entire test profile as planned. The successful flight comes after two unsuccessful attempts in January and March, when the missiles crashed into the sea due to failures in the ignition of the main propulsion engine following launch.

Blue Origin New Glenn rocket launched for third time ever today (April 19) — but for the first time with previously flown hardware. Shortly after separation. the first stage of the rocket successfully landed on a droneship in the Atlantic Ocean. The mission, called NG-3, attempted to deliver BlueBird 7, a direct-to-cellphone internet satellite, to low Earth orbit but '"the payload was placed into an off-nominal orbit. We are currently assessing and will update when we have more detailed information," according to Blue Origin. NG-3 flew the same first-stage booster core that launched NG-2, but with new engines.
