Tesla is able to integrate technologies better than any of the competition. Manually plugging in an autonomous Robotaxi doesn’t feel like the future. Cybercab is charged strictly wirelessly, there is no charge port. Tesla says their wireless charging technology is well above 90% efficiency.

Tesla's new wireless charging technology is made in Germany 🇩🇪 The inductive charging pad that Tesla recently unveiled is based on technology from a German startup called Wiferion (formerly Blue Inductive) 👏🏼 “With an overall efficiency of over 93%, the systems based on etaLink technology are leading” - according to a press release from Bonn-based seed investor HTGF, which invested in 2017. 💪🏼 Even Marques Brownlee couldn't believe that 😉 He commented under a Tesla post that contactless charging could achieve a maximum of 75% efficiency. I'm curious to see who will be right in the end. But I think it is save to say, that after Tesla Automation (formerly Großmann), Wiferion was yet another smart purchase of a German company from Tesla.

BREAKING: The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an audit into about 1,000 Tesla Cybercabs. NHTSA says Cybercab has no permanently attached steering wheel, brake pedal, accelerator pedal or mirrors. It will review how Tesla certified the vehicle and why Tesla determined that some federal safety standards did not apply. NHTSA is auditing a car because it has no controls for a human driver. But that is the entire point: Cybercab was designed from day one to drive itself. • Tesla Robotaxis have driven one million miles without a human driver. • The first 380,000 driverless miles had no notable safety incidents. • Tesla reported three incidents in NHTSA’s latest data. In all three, another vehicle hit a stopped Tesla Robotaxi. In these incidents, the problem was human error, not the autonomous Tesla. That is exactly what Cybercab is designed to remove from our roads.

The Tesla Cybercab doesn't have ANY brake fluid. It is the first production vehicle to have a brake-by-wire system. Electronic actuators are responsible for the clamping pressure, rather than hydraulic fluid that you see in traditional vehicles. This system improves efficiency since the brake pads can fully disengage. They can go entirely off or on. It also enables Tesla to fine-tune the braking to be as smooth as possible. PLUS, when the car is built with the unboxed process, Tesla doesn't need to run any brake lines, everything is seamless.
