Waymo vehicles use public chargers. Someone has to manually insert, and remove the charger. Tesla is developing a wireless charging solution that will automate charging, so no human intervention is required.

I think seawater did something… strange to my iPhone 17 Pro Max charging port. Now when I plug in the charger and turn on the switch at the same time, it shows charging a bit late compared to the iPhone 16 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max. Today I also noticed it does not charge at all with a 25W charger, but it works with 45W and 65W chargers. Should I go to the Apple Store and replace the charging port, or just use the chargers that work? Will this problem get worse over time?

If you have a Tesla, you should be using Tesla FSD. Every day I see owners driving around manually for no reason. Let the car do all your driving! It will seriously change your life. Tesla FSD is now the product, and the vehicles are just the delivery system. If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly suggest going to a Tesla showroom and experiencing the "magic" for yourself. It’s so hard to describe.

Elon Musk has repeatedly highlighted the hand (and forearm) as one of the toughest engineering challenges for Tesla’s Optimus Robot. A new Patent (for presumably Optimus 3) shows Tesla is using human anatomy to recreate a tendon-driven robotic hand and forearm assembly that closely mimics a human system. Basically, Tesla is replacing human muscles with actuators and tendons with cables to replicate human dexterity. The Tesla Engineering team is on another level. Optimus Gen 3 reveal is going to be incredible.

The Christchurch BP Charge Gigahub is ready to go with 12 EV charge points, with even more to follow in the next phase and the option to add more as demand grows. Projects just like this one are key in our plan to grow our economy and reduce emissions in order to achieve a Net Zero 2050. Our Government has a plan to significantly increase the number of public EV charging pointsacross New Zealand, with a goal of having 10,000 charging points ready by 2030. It’s important we do this to give Kiwis the confidence to purchase EVs to alleviate range anxiety and know that the charging infrastructure is in place.
